I have an inflexible back due to a break, this stem gets me in a great position. I'm 5'11" on a 64 cm seat tube & 64 cm top tube touring bike. The original 120mm stem was terribly far away and I was getting lots of neck pain from looking up. This stem moves my handlebars much closer and higher, I have a fantastic position for long rides and I can extend out over the hoods or get in the drops with straight arms and a flat back. I did not notice any changes in handling, I think the stem length has a lot less to do with handling than you'd think. Either way, the added comfort gives me much better mechanical advantage. My touring bike is responsive. Most people will probably still want a longer stem, I'm kinda an exception.Absolutely beautiful peace of metal, nice polish and it feels very secure in place.

Works well on my vintage bike!
The stem performs as it should and allowed for a great fit on my vintage Novara bike. Be aware that you will need to remove the drop bars in order to install and this will require new bar tape.

Less back and neck stress
My Eddie Merckx 1980's vintage bike has a long top bar, about an inch and a half longer than the modern bikes of today. The original stem was a 140mm height and a 110mm length . This caused me to lean more forward. Having the 225mm height stem and a 50mm length affords me more comfort as I can ride in a higher position. So much less stress on my back and neck. Highly recommended for seniors. I am 69 years.

Give an old road bike new life with this stem
I have refurbished many old road bikes, and wish I could add this stem to all of them. For casual cyclists, most drop handlebars feel too low and can cause back pain, making you not want to ride your bike. If you find yourself having back trouble on your old road bike, this stem might be just what you need, so you can at least get your handlebars at or over your seat height. This is a high quality stem that has allowed me to easily convert my bike to something that is rideable for many miles.

Fine-looking Stem or What They Said
This stem will allow you to steer yourself to your lover with a minimum of effort and a maximum of style points. As a matter of factual opinion (my own) you may even have to buy a number of these to drop as you ride to fend off the additional romantic interests. Motorists will stop at all manner of intersections. Angels will have your babies. Bike lanes will drop from the sky. Hyenas will cease to be scary. And finally, you will be in your lovers arms.
