They’re doing the job they’re meant to do
Remember the old ad: “Lay’s Potato Chips” …. “You can’t eat just one.”Meaning; few task / jobs will require only one of these screw jacks. This can add up $$$.It may not be considered the top of the line in screw jacks, but they are holding up a house as I type.So they are good to go!

Heavy duty in more ways than one!
Be ready for a workout with this jack! Heavy (weight) so for underneath floors or in tight spaces, get ready forsome perspiring. Well made, easy to use(I used it) but limited by tight spaces and the heft of the user. Failedto take into consideration the pure brute force needed to lift approx. 10 to 15 tons. You will need a very strongbar for turning the threaded head. NOT HYDRAULIC!

good product
the jack turns easier than the other jacks i have, while lifting my garage this jack was effortless with a 3 foot bar. Not sure what a 25x25 garage weighs, but the other 3 jacks were far from effortless. I was unsure of the swivel top when i first looked at it but it didn't cause any issues.

A way to lock the head would be really useful
I purchased this as a way to help support an engine while doing some repair work, which may be outside the expected use case. With a screw jack I don't have to worry about it slowly lowering over time like many hydraulic floor jacks. Unfortunately for me, the head pivots, and with an asymmetrical load like an automobile engine, that means the jack can experience small sideways forces that end up tilting the head and then causing the base of the jack to start to tilt, which leads to the load shifting. I felt extreme concern the entire thing might fall. It seems like a small steel shim would work to lock the head and prevent it from pivoting, but no such shim is supplied and I don't see one as an option, either.Fortunately I was using this as a backup jack, with an engine bar and chain from the top. I shudder to think about the engine falling because of the pivoting head. For my use case, a simple steel shim would have greatly enhanced the usefulness and trust I have in this product in supporting loads.
