Asahi Rubber Color Cutting Board Beige SC-102 Synthetic Rubber Japan AMN2326P

Long wait on shipping, but the wait from Japan was worth it as this is an awesome cutting board. I wanted a cutting board suitable for my high end Japanese kitchen knives and did a lot of research on wood vs rubber compound type cutting boards. I had always used plastic until now, and this is a clear step up. You can feel how much softer this is on the knife edge when slicing through foods and making contact with the board. Gives me more confidence that I wont roll or chip my blades when slicing and especially chopping. The board does stain easier than some sealed wood boards, but not as much as reviews often state I think this adds character. Over time it all discolorations fade and even out across the board as you can see in the picture (heavily used over last few months). I never send this cutting board through the dishwasher and always hand-wash with a warm cloth and/or white vinegar. Highly recommend!

I love the size and the quality of the board. The cutting-feel is different and takes a little getting used to, but overall this board is a great buy.

If you don't want to sharpen your forged high carbon knives so often then you can't beat this cutting board.

Food stays put. My Japanese knifes say, "thank you." Easy clean up. The SC102 size is large enough to handle all my needs.

It stains SO easily. It makes you think it's actually not clean.

This is large, but due to the material its made of is easy on knife blades. Wife loves it.

This cutting board seemed really nice. Good size. But I hesitate to cut anything on it because of staining, plus I am not comfortable sitting anything very hot on it. The manufacture should have directions on how to clean this board.

I am overall happy with this product.
