Works well
I bought this to drill dowel holes for 4 U-shaped shelves (3 pieces, each) for a closet turned into a kitchen pantry. I knew the dowels would not be strong enough without a bracket on each side, but I needed a way to align the shelves before filling the gaps, sanding and painting. I've never done anything like this before. Building U-shaped shelving and drilling holes for dowels is all new to me. It worked very well.I have several Festool tools and this is certainly not the quality & feel of a Festool, nor is it anywhere near the price! I adjusted the tool to my needs and tested it on some scrap pieces of shelving before using it on the actual shelving pieces. I made marks on the pieces so that I could align them on a table before marketing the dowel locations. (Tip: Use a 7mm mechanical pencil. You want as narrow a line as possible.) Based on the tool's user manual, I choose 2.5" from each side and choose the 5mm dowel size for the 3/4" baltic birch plywood I was using; 4 holes on the left U piece and 4 holes on the right U piece, matching 8 hold drilled into the large shelving piece that goes against the back wall. I have a Festool dust extractor and was able to attach the vacuum hose with a hose adapter that I bought and tape (because the adapter was close but not the correct size.)You may be wondering, how was I able to assemble the shelving with the dowels, since the shelving was cut to the length of the side walls. That's a very good question! The trick was to tilt the shelving up to allow enough clearance to have sufficient spacking to slide the pieces together. I did it by myself using scrap pieces of wood to hold the shelving at an angle while I put them together. Definitely not easy, and it took some trial and error! I'm sure it would have been easier if I had help, but I was on a roll and didn't want to wait for my wife to come home. All told, the tool worked great. I think biscuits would have proven a lot easier, but I didn't even know what biscuits were until I started this project! (I'd seen a bag of biscuits at Harbor Freight Tools before, and had no idea what their purpose was.)I hope this helps everyone interested in this tool.

Good tool!
Works quite well. Speeds up my joinery by about 4 times. Have some problems with accuracy but it’s probably me and not the machine.

Accurate out of the box
I am not a Domino hater, I just can't justify that high price. I have been using this alternative for over a year. I did get the half inch bits and dowels for larger projects. No complaints at all.

poor quality
REturned in before we even used it. poor quality tool. Look up dowel max, it is a game changer!

Review for those who want a product like this
It is not recommended, very bad product, it broke after three weeks of use.

Off the charts value
I have only had this a day so this may change but...the rubber slip pads are spring loaded so there is no problem getting 100% sure fence-to-work...the alignment of the two drill bits is excellent, both in same horizontal plane as well as I can measure...power is fine...switch works well...very slight adjustment need to get fence at 90deg, set that with square and results are excellent...getting alignment of face frame joint flush in the two essential parameters to within a few thou, which means after glue up you just sand/plane to a perfect frame. The Triton which this is a copy of had some issues a few years ago according to video reviews; these have been addressed here. Again, no comment on durability since only a day but the thing feels and sound solid. I might disassemble to smooth and oil the plunge mechanism but it works well out of box.
