So the light looks and works great! But better yet, I scanned the QR and the app opened/worked connected instantly no problem. I’m not sure what the folks saying it doesn’t function fully, or that there’s sections written in Chinese… I’m currently running custom 8 setting timer program that took about 5 minutes to setup including opening the box/unpacking the light. Also takes some playing to figure out since for instance Moonlight looks silly at high intensity, but great at 20-30%. Also worth noting, these LEDs blend wonderfully. My previous light you could see red, blue, green bulbs reacting with the water/glass. These blend to a cohesive single color before hitting the water.

The Light itself is great but the Tuya App used to control it is a major let down. I set up a sunset sunrise program and the app refuses to shut the light off at the programmed time.I am also confused why Tuya decided to link light intensity to colour temperature.I own a cheap light from China, the one this light is replacing, that has better functionality in programming than the Tuya App provides.So a great light, but very much let down by Tuya's misguided and over simplistic approach to light control.

nice light. bright, easy setup on the app. timer function and screen setting is great. customized light cycle for your aquarium.

The smart functionality is limited at best. They advise that it’s *your* issue the app doesn’t see the device and requires opening and closing the app multiple times for it be seen. Literally in a max 7 foot, no obstacle triangle between router, phone, and this “smart” light and it has a 4% success rate of working the first time (being generous) or even the first 5 times. Randomly deleting those smart scenes is also a nice touch for when it does finally connect👌So for a light you have to manually adjust, this is extremely overpriced and a waste of money. Very strongly do not recommend.

First it was looks very good I have use hugger for quite some time and they are good for quality for the money you pay , but with this light to be honest I’m little bit frustrated , the light it’s self is nice and bright , but the Tuya app control is awful the light do what ever is decide , by some reasons aways drips it self to 80% brightness. I have found solution for this problem just connect dimmer + timer in lane and ignoring everything else once is on just give 1 click to max brigjt and good to go . For sure for the price of this unit in not worth that’s way I’m give only 3 out of 5

Light is bright and has many settings. Hopefully the phone app gets a little more user friendly with time.

So if it were wifi i would be able to control the lights even if im not home. As it is i can only control if I'm home more like bluetooth. But not what I was hoping for, dont be misled like I was.
