Very sturdy and beautiful dark teak wood. Perfect from a design perspective and ideal for my husband after he had a procedure and needed a seat in shower.

A couple of tips on assembly.1. It looks like the parts have a specific order. On the seat you will see A and B. On the legs you'll see C and D. C fit better with A and D fit better with B. Attach the legs until the top of the screws are into the screw hole.2. The shelf also seems to have a position. Though you'll have to figure out which position. I put the screws from the bottom of the leg just enough to stick out to see how the shelf should go. Then put the side screws in through the legs. That helps hold everything in place to then tighten up the bottom screws.Once assembled this thing is sturdy! My gosh. We had a less expensive teak bench in our old house and this one is so much more sturdy and easily holds a heavy person. The shelf below the bench is just so handy for smaller sized bottles. This is an impressive piece of craftsmanship. Well made and definitely worth the price if you want something reliable to sit on in the shower.

This stool is an ideal shower stool. I weigh 260 lbs and it feels very sturdy. It is solid wood and has the feel of being strong when you lift it. Its not too heavy but not lightweight, Also it looks great in the shower. Not cheap looking or like a hospital room shower. Could be a little wider for a big guy like me, but it is confortable.

This teak stool is amazing, especially for the price. It arrives in one piece with no need to assemble, a big plus. It is very solid and strong, a lovely dark brown stain, and is very comfortable to sit on after a shower. The steam and moisture of the bathroom have not bothered it at all, after nearly six months of use it looks brand new. It was a happy purchase.

The materials for the bench are sturdy and should hold up. We have had this product for about 2 weeks now. We have not had used it yet. The height is adequate. The only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is that the predrilled holes didn't line up exactly correct. If you follow the directions included with the kit, you won't be able get it together. You will need to install the side screws from the outside legs to stabilize the bottom brace before you put the wood screws in to secure the bottom brace to the internal side of the legs. If you don't do this you will never be able to find the predrilled holes from the external legs going into the bottom brace.

I am very pleased with this item. The piece is well made, sturdy, of substantial weight, and is very functional. It fits in my shower perfectly and is a beautiful addition. I was reluctant to purchase a wooden seat for the shower, but the little care recommended to help protect the wood will be well worth the effort.

I love this bench. It sturdy and looks great. I just wipe it down after showering and it's beautiful. It's a great alternative to an ugly shower chair
