Very interesting and beautiful book
Thought provoking book that takes you through the beautiful worlds of cells, their magic, their limitations, their stories and their song. Dr Siddhartha writes in his effervescent style, capturing science and weaving it with styles, characters and journeys of the countless scientists and researchers who have gotten humanity to where it is today. And the most beautiful part, he keeps it all real with personal anecdotes and experiences. Totally mesmerizing as always

Another thrilling essay from Siddharth
I have previoulsy read and enjoyed the emperor of all maladies , and this one is equally exciting. The chapters contain a very good mix of history , real life case studies , knowledge and the story telling is very good. After completing the book I feel sad that its over , so many lovely stories and personal accounts. It gives a great summary of the science of the cell and the therapies that are being envisioned around the cell . Those involved with biotechnology , biopharmaceuticals will love it.Authors like him make non fiction more exciting than fiction and a big thanks to him.

One of my fascinating science book
I am aware of the writing style of Dr. S. Mukherjee from his book the 'Gene'. This is how science should be written and taught. Science is not an isolated domain of knowledge, it is integrated to society. Dr. Siddharth knows this pretty well. The book is really song of the Cell and has been beautifully sung by the author. If you keep interest in science and fascinated about what cell actually is, you must read this book. I can assure you the writing would not let you feel bored.Happy reading.

Cell Biology that was never taught
I am a student of biology with Cell Biology as specialisation in my M Sc.. I am reading books of this author with such interest because they teach me many things much deeper than my teachers then. Siddhartha's style is so catchy that you never feel you are reading a subject that is pure science. I feel many more such authors and books on various science subjects would make better understanding of these matters.

A Great Initiator for Cellular Biology
The book provides a very structured oddessey through fundamentals of cellular biology. It is very engaging read, with one of the most well written epilogues that I have come accross. I will surely recommend this book and encourage the reader to follow up with the author's other two publications "The Emperor of All Maladies" and "The Gene". All in all time well spent.
