Q: Sound will cut out during a pause, then "pop" when talking resumes, even if the mike is not in use. Is that normal and/or fixable?

I've experienced the same thing, not sure if it's the Bluetooth or a function of how the "speaker" works, but if you turn the volume up a notch or 2 it should stop. If the source has a lot of quiet (just ambient background) parts, you apparently need to have the headphone volume set loud enough so the sound stays active during the quietest parts. Unfortunate, but it does prevent the cutting out in my experience. Hope that helps
