I will only choose this for my work boot
This is my 5th pair of the Irish Setter boots. I work for a private water utility. I am in the field 5 or 6 hours a day, in hot, wet and dry weather, often in standing water. We use Bleach for disinfection and my boots have had 12.9% spill on the boots. I hike uneven terrain for a few miles to remote water diversions. I wear a size 9.5 and have a typical foot. I really like the square style toe which allows me to have a snug fit without hurting my feet. I started with the lace versions and when the boa came out, it was a no brainer. Rode Boa Lace system in snowboard boots prior. I read a few reviews that talked about separation but have not had that happen even in the consistent 80 degree plus weather in Hawaii. Even when being submerged in water up to the Boa Dial regularly. I will only change boots when they stop making them.

Well Rounded Boots
These boots are some of the best quality boots I’ve worn in two decades and I have 4E wide flat feet and require medical orthotics and this boot fits everything well(if use cushioned hiking socks like darn tough for loose space between top of foot). They seem to be waterproof yet work well in conjunction with merino wool to allow evaporation. They are easy to put on and take off, these boots seem to have good slip resistance and are well rounded whether you’re out and about or working.

Good but wanted better
Over all a good boot. Been whereing them every day for a month. Well made wish there was a lil more cushion inside the boot. I suggest getting an after market insoles.

NOT WIDE!!!
As you can see from the pictures, these "wide" Irish Settlers are more narrow than my NON-wide Cabela's!!! They don't even slip on easily! I had to sit down and work my feet into them. And after just a few steps, these things absolutely destroyed my feet. Also, the color is hideous. These are not the cool weathered look like in the picture. These things couldn't be a more boring typical brown. I am beyond disappointed... And to the reviewer who said the wide size fits nicely... What, are Converse a little too snug for you? Get outta here that... There was also a review that said these are "light weight"??? Sure! Compared to cylinder blocks, maybe...

Great work boots
These are really nice boots. I work in all kinds of weather. My socks stay dry all day. Very sturdy and have actually lasted for a very long time. I usually have to replace my boots every 3-5 months. These have lasted way beyond that.

Notably cheaper than the redwing
The redwing version of this was very comfortable out of the box, this one is giving me blisters. The insole is pretty hard the boa not as smooth it doesn't tighten well on the bottom towards the toe. I might bite the bullit and buy the 300 plus dollar red wings again.
