I purchased 4.0 High Magnification Power Readers. They have about an 8” focal length and I’m comfortable reading fine print on the page from 7 to 14 inches away.My computer screen is about 22 inches away, and the 4.0 High Magnification Power Readers are blurry to me at that distance, so I’m more comfortable using my 2.5+ reading glasses when I’m on the computer.I purchased these magnifying glasses so it would be easier for me to read books with fine print and they work great for that. They also work great for sheet music that is sometimes printed too small. These are good quality glasses and are the best magnifying glasses I’ve found. Yes, I would recommend these to a friend. In fact, I did recommend them to a friend.I also ordered the 4.5 and 5.0 versions of these glasses, and I’ll let you know how they work out.Update:The 4.5 magnification readers are comfortable for me to read fine print at from 7 to 12 inches away (focal length = 7”).The 5.0 magnification readers are comfortable for me to read fine print at from 7 to 11 inches away (focal length = 5½”).I didn’t see any appreciable difference in the clearness or size of the fine print when using the 4.0 magnification versus the 5.0 magnification. I use the 4.0 magnification to get a slightly greater focal range so it’s a little easier to hold the book at a comfortable distance.

I had tried numerous brands of readers, then went on a durability quest which brought me back to Grinder Punch (the abusive little rascals). Upon receipt, and removing the packaging I noticed the difference immediately. I had forgotten about this brands build quality. Then come the lenses, clarity and accurate focus Left-Right-Top-Bottom, consistency of clarity and focus’s. Here’s something I only just noticed, wearing glasses becomes my norm that without them is a rarity. I am 100% certain that if you wear glasses you will be taking a shower while wearing them. As with all brands, these too went in the shower (personally, I think glasses are inherently perverse, little peepers, 😂) but this pair here, in comparison with the others that have joined my showers, this is the only brand that resisted fogging up. There were moments minimal fog encroachment but not once has this pair needed to be removed while I showered.

I ordered these after I lost part of my vision. I can see enough to get around, but I can't read. With these magnified reading glasses I'm able to read my Kindle if I use a large font size. Yay! I particularly like that the magnification is crystal clear, no waviness, and that the glasses come in a large selection of levels of magnification. I ordered 4x, and they are not quite strong enough for me. I can't easily read what's on my computer screen (or this message). So I'll be upgrading to 5x normal sight.

I had to return these only because I did not know what strength I needed. Know what strength you need before ordering.

They were great at first, fell apart missing a hinge screw after a couple weeks. No product support…DO NOT buy these glasses, no option for return or replacement. No warranty

I purchased these 6 power readers for my brother in law who is legally blind. He has issues seeing up close and reading print. He said he loves these readers and he can actually read on his own with asking for help. Great value compared to eyeglasses from the doctor’s office.

Very nice glasses. I ordered the strong strength so I can see the hairs in my husband’s ears! I can definitely see just about anything. Very pleased with my purchase.
