Im so pleased!
Bought this to replace a cheaper one I had made from unknown wood. Old one cracked. I need a good stick to walk my dogs. My depth perception changed after cataract surgery, making me feel 'off kilter'. I can feel secure with a dependable walking stick. Not sure what is happening in my brain, but this makes all the difference in the world! Ive always love the weight and strength of hickory. This a beautiful and simple stick. Perfect. Highly recommend products from this company!

Great go hikes and also can keep some threats at length as an added benefit
Love it! Provides the stability I need. Feels very sturdy and length is perfect.

Great item, BUT...
I love this walking stick, but it is important other know the possible drawbacks. I noticed right away the stick had rough cracks and gouges within the handle AND especially where I would be holding it to use as a walking stick. There is no way anyone could use it as is for a long hike without gloves or getting blisters from those areas. YES, its a natural stick and BEAUTIFUL!! Just be aware of the drawback and be prepared to do a little work to make it handle well. Don't want to sand it because the finish is great. Overall the stick was straight with a few natural curves, but I am very pleased. Little paracord wrap / hockey tape should do fine. I'll probably get another one down the road to keep in the car.

Quality
This walking stick is of one piece construction. It is solid and slightly heavy. I would definitely buy again.

I'm really impressed.
It's a really nice stick. Not sure if I'm lucky or the quality is always this high, but it's an excellent 58" hickory stick. It's really impressive that Amazon can ship this for "free", too. The box it came in alone would have been $100 to ship with USPS if I just walked in with it.Mine has no cracks, and no filler seems to have been used. It's just sanded with most of the bark left on and lightly varnished. It's actually great as it is, but I plan on doing some carving and putting a spiked/rubber convertible foot on it. It came with a perfectly usable rubber foot, though. I just like the option for a spike.I don't think you'll find a much better deal in 'traditional' hiking sticks/staves. I've found and bought many over the decades...And after deciding I hate the ski pole style modern ones, I've stuck to mostly found wood. This one is great though. It's already my favorite out of the sticks I've purchased.Added bonus: The hickory bark has eyes that look like the Eye of Sauron.

hard to say
What I can say is this a sturdy and heavy piece of wood. No cracks or splits and should last a long time. Impressive looking 58 inch staff!

It helped with my posture
I just turned 80 and although I no longer golf due to back issues, I still like to accompany my wife when she plays 9 holes. Yesterday I was able to walk the full 9 holes using this 58” Brazos walking stick. It really helped.

Disappointed. Spent 35$ so I could eventually get splinters
Purchased this product before (pictured on the right) smooth with no cracks or rough indentations. Very satisfied with my purchase and was hoping to get a quality similar or close to what I got. Ended up getting the hiking stick with cracks all over (pictured on the left). It is like I spent 35$ just so I can get some splinters.
