Probably my best option out there
There is something about a small j frame snubby: it begs to be carried. In winter, that's almost never an issue because you can just slip the little sucker into almost any coat wor winter vest pocket and almost any pocket holster will do. In summer, that's a different matter and I usually downshift to a little lcp vs the jframe because the jframe is a bit more substantial.I'm not a big fan of appendix carry....I just don't like the business end of a snubby ever pointed at my femoral artery or my even more valued assets when seated. I'm ok with strongside iwb at the 4-5 oclock position if I know I'm going to be walking around all day or if I'm wearing a hawaiian shirt but that's more effort and makes my pants/shorts look sloppy. But, for most of my carry needs, I would prefer to pocket carry for the convenience and a hand in a pocket is not usually threatening to the mass of society if needed. The problem I've had is that I find that traditional pocket holsters like the jframe nemesis and others too big and square for the pockets of shorts or other summer attire. Those don't look like wallets. They look like big blocks in my pocket and to boot it's hard to put the firearm in it's holster in my pocket. So I've been looking for something else.I came across this holster and I was torn between ordering it or not because of a couple of negative reviews. Let me tell you, I'm glad I did - it's my go to pocket holster for the j frame.1) First off, it's stiff and stays open. The gun slips into the holster looser than some of my other pocket holsters but still retains the gun well - it was engineered that way. So at least with a S&W j-frame don't expect it to be a snug snug fit but its not loose either. I think the fit is by design.2) Second, the outside of the holster is smooth and shaped in an interesting fashion to better hide the outline of the firearm.3) The outside is a suede-like material to help it stay in your pocket when you draw. The inside of the holster is a very smooth material (plastic-like) that when combined with the looseness of the holster on the jframe it makes it super easy to draw and reholster.4) the material is not very thick, which is very good for a pocket holster5) So what is it made of? I would say plastic with a suede like treatment on the outside. It won't mar your firearm and looks like it'll last a long time.Quality-wise It seems to be built of good quality materials. I haven't had it very long so I don't know how it will wear. I think that if it lasts 5-6 years, I'll be happy. I don't expect it to last 20 years but then again I don't expect most of my holsters to last 20 years either. Is this the absolute perfect j-frame holster out there? Heck no. But, I will add that such a beast probably does not exist. It's a good cheap holster. For summer pocket carry, I haven't found anything better. In winter and a winter coat, I might shift to a nemesis but probably not. This holster makes a very tidy package.

Excellent pocket holster for small pistols in my experience.
Molded to fit specific pistols, this an excellent pocket holster if you order the correct model for your handgun. Suede leather helps holster usually stay in pocket upon draw, and mouth remains always open for easy re-holsering. Curve side facing outside of pocket breaks up shape of pistol and does a good job of hiding your concealed pistol. This pocket holster comes in two versions for right-or-left pants pockets. Because IMO amazon descriptions for handgun holsters can vary from specific to useless, go to the Safariland website to find model number for your handgun before ordering from amazon. I wanted the model 25-188 22 for my Ruger LCP because this model is for the left-hand pants pocket. In the Safariland system for the model 25 series, 22 is for left-hand holsters and 21 is for right-hand holsters, and they are not interchangeable because the holster has a smooth curved side, the inside side [closest to your leg] is molded and not curved. So the left-hand model number is 25-188 22 and the right-hand model number is 25-188 21, this review is specific to the purchase of the left-hand model but I also own the right-hand model and my comments and five-star rating stand for it also.Makes a large difference in not printing when you carry this pocket holster in the pocket the holster is designed to be carried in!Konrad.

Excellent product, buy now
Great pocket holster, just a little bit heavy and a little bulky. Even so it one of te best I have ever seen/used.

It works perfectly fine for that
The media could not be loaded. If the holster didn’t come with stitching already falling out I would have given it 4 stars. I don’t expect much as far as quality goes since it is priced fairly low and the description clearly states the materials it consists of. I bought it for my S&W 360pd solely for at home use. It works perfectly fine for that. It fits great and holds with the right amount of tension(at least for me). I think this holster would struggle to last a full year of EDC. Overall I am very happy with the purchase since I don’t need anything too extravagant at this time. It is made to fit only J frame size revolvers and any barrel over 2” will definitely extend past the bottom of the holster.

After about a month this is my favorite pocket carry holster
This has become my go-to pocket carry holster. It's design obscures the "gun" shape better that any of the other name brand pocket carry holsters that I own. It is very thin-walled and doesn't add bulk to the thickness of the gun, which is a major plus regarding concealment. The Suede outer covering combined with the stiff, slick inner material (Kydex I think.) keeps the holster in my pocket when I draw. The only downside it that the holster body is narrow and in some of my wider pockets the holster doesn't stay upright when the my S&W 638 isn't holstered in it. However, that isn't much of a problem. I just have to use both hands to re-holster sometimes.

Best J-Frame pocket holster EVER
Easily the best revolver pocket holster I've seen, I could never get past the visible cylinder bulge in other products. I like it so much I went looking for other Safariland pocket holsters, but this is it. Putting the cylinder bulge against your leg doesn't cause any discomfort, but makes the distinctive shape of a J-Frame invisible. The thin but strong envelope stays put in your pocket and makes re-holstering a non-issue. I've carried my M60 more in the last month than in the last five years!

Awesome product for concealed carry
This holster fits my weapon excellent. It fits in my pocket and the material keeps it securely in place as I draw my weapon from my pocket. The outline of the holster is also obscured in my pocket enough so that it's not obvious I'm carrying a weapon.

NOT AMBIDEXTROUS
Appears to be both left and right handed... Does not work well, good fit on the pistol but not enough friction to stay put in the pocket or pants when drawing. Awkward in the right-hand pocket, but not cut well for a left-handed draw this holster appears to be confused. Very comfortable in the left pocket but not functional IMO, YMMV.
