Q: Do they have a drawstring waist?

No drawstring waist, just elastic and button closure.

Q: What is length for pants?

The pants are a little on the long side. I used safety pins to bring them up a few inches. Or you can simply roll them up. I have fairly long legs and they did drag the floor.

Q: Material feels course when opened package. Does it get soft when wash?

As in most new clothing, the material softens after washing. Absolutely love my pj’s!
