These are Large!
These definitely work well but it'd be great if there were a range of sizes.

Worked pretty well for Black woman with dreadlocks
So I'm black with locs and I decided to try these soft curlers because the hard rollers are a pain to sleep in. I washed my hair first and I put the rollers in while hair still wet. Not soaking wet but very damp. I have 87 locs and I did one roller per loc (so I bought 3 packs) even though next time I could probably do two locs per roller. I also used mousse on each loc before I rolled it. I let this air dry for the most part over the course of about 18 hours including over night. Before I took them out for an event, I did have to blow dry for about 20 mins because they weren't fully dry. With locs they have to be fully dry for the curl to hold. Hair actually curled better than I thought it would! Curls are not as tight and well defined as the hard rollers but this worked! Some locs didn't curl like I wanted but that was probably how I rolled them or because they were still damp because most locs curled well. Curls lasted almost a week! I'm impressed ππ½. Next time I'll probably sit under a hooded dryer for maybe 20 mins before I go to bed. But I'd recommend because sleeping in these was soooo much better than hard rollers!

Great overnight curls (after experimenting)
I have long thick wavy 2C hair which holds a curl very well. I've been losing my hair from stress and got these for no heat overnight curls after trying metal pins that were too poky to sleep on. Attempt 1 I used 14 curlers (pink jacket) , mousse, and sprayed my hair about 1/3 damp, and my hair was SO big when I combed through. I was able to form them a bit better but still...super poof. I tried a few other combos (with/without mousse, gel, water, and curler count) and found a standard:(Blue sweater pics) 7 total curlers, 3 along crown, 2 on each side, no mousse, I spray a natural boar brush once with a heavy flow spray bottle then brush one section right before curling. I curl DOWN to hold better and mirror my hot rollers style. I add a slouchy satin lined sleep cap from YANIBEST which keeps it curled and reduces frizz and breakage. I only do day 2+ hair. It takes 8ish minutes to complete before bed. The side ones are a little bumpy on my head but I sleep heavy. Curl on the very top of your head for better sleeping.Getting lots of compliments on my "elegant" and "juicy" curls with this style! Very glad I got them.

Holy crow, I LOVE these little rollers. So glad I found them!
Rollers that'll give me a comfortable night's sleep was just all I wanted. Really.I wear locs, I don't use heat on my hair, and I depend on being able to curl my hair overnight.Every other roller I'd buy would blare their empty promises of deep, effortless sleep, only to have me tearing rollers out of my hair in the small hours, and flinging them all over the bedroom. Especially on Sleeping Lu, my hard-working hubby who just...wants...to...sleep... without being pelted with hair rollers. He'll confront rollers when he attempts to navigate around them in the morning (he's up way earlier than me), and some of the harder ones, he said darkly, were like stepping on Legos in the dark. Uh-oh.And I've tried them all. Really. Including some fearsome looking animals that were covered in bristles or quills or some other weirdness. I bet a zoologist would declare, after solemn examination, those bristles were a self-defense feature only found in the wild. Rods, of any sizes or design, just don't even get me started, please. These are SO soft and comfy that taking them out of the package, I just KNEW they were the Answer. And my dreams were pleasant, sleeping on them night after night.Buy these, you'll be glad you did. Wary Lu was even convinced. He's happy about not getting rollers on his noggin while he's trying to sleep!

OK But.....
......could be just a bit longer. I compared them to an older set I had, these are each about an inch shorter. I don't think they'd be practical if you had really long hair. Otherwise, they seem fine. No weird smell, came well packaged, materials and workmanship good. Price is better than some comparable products here at Amazon.I would also have appreciated a zip pouch for storage but they only came in an ordinary plastic bag.Like all the variety of colors!
