I used this board for my ender 3 pro .. I flashed marin on it and it used to work fine printing whatever i wanted until i turned it on one day and it wasnt working .. I confirmed that it was the motherboard because I replaced it with the original board and it worked.

The BTT SKR Mini E3 V3 is a massive improvement over a stock board such as the old Creality v4.2.2 (noisy) board. Some of the key upgrades (for me) are:*quiet stepper motor controllers*PWM fan control for 3 fans *this allows you to only have heatsink fans running when the extruder is above a certain temperature *only run case fan when stepper motors are active (to cool the driver boards)*extra Z-axis motor output to convert a single Z-stepper system to dual*improved processor speed and storage (for more advanced firmware files)Installation is quite easy and if you know Marlin, you will be right at home with a custom firmware in no time.Is this worth the $60 to breathe new life into an old printer? Absolutely! (if it prevents you from buying a newer one for the aforementioned upgrades)

Installation was quite easy. I used a picture I found online to see where everything connects. But I will admit it was annoying to put wires into the black terminal blocks.After wiring it up, I turned it on, set my esteps, and printed something. It came out fine, obviously needs tuning, but it's a good start. I could not hear the motors at all. The heatsink fan on the front is the loudest part of the machine now.The board shipped with Bugfix Marlin 2.0.x which I updated to 2.1.2 after a bit of research. I do not have a BLTouch.The LCD works without requiring any firmware changes. The SD card slot has some resistance to it.

I have my printer in a walkinn closet in my room. Unorthodox I know, but when you live with people you make sacrifices. The stock E3P was incredibly obnoxious. From the cheap, rattly fans that lasted about a week before loosening off their shafts, to those comically loud stepper drivers. I wasn't able to run prints overnight which wasn't ideal. Did some digging and found both the Creality silent board and the BTT SKR Mini. Was pretty obvious which one I was gonna get and I'm super glad I did. This thing has night and day been the best upgrade I've done to this printer. Keep in mind I have a slightly above average understanding of programming and so I can't really speak in great detail about the firmware experience. I will however say that it's still a fairly new board and I spent a lot of time changing things in a 2.1.2 version of Marlin from BTT's github page. Makenprint.uk has a fantastic Consolidated Marlin Guide that will absolutely save your day if you're not sure where to start.

I purchased this board for my Ender 3 Pro. From day 1, it was problematic, with random hardware crashes and failure of my CRTouch unit. At first I thought that it was my lack of experience causing the problems, however, after going through multiple threads and forums, I came to believe that the problem was the board.2 days ago, I suddenly lost USB connection to my Raspberry Pi. The board still functioned, just no connection to OctoPi. I contacted BigTreeTech's support at [email protected] and I was pleasantly surprised by how fast they responded. They offered different suggestions on how try to get the board working again. However, after I purchased a new USB cable and confirmed that the problem was the USB port on the board, BigTree's tech support stopped responding to my emails and I have heard nothing from them since.BigTreeTech is a multi-million dollar corporation. The fact that they won't give warranty service on a $60 CAD/ $45 USD item is a clear warning to all prospective buyers that BigTreeTech does not stand by their products.Get a Creality 4.2.7 board. Yes, it lacks the features of the SKR, however, based on my research, Creality has a warranty that they honor. Or, if you ned the extra features, spend the extra and get a MKS Robin or a Duet2 board.In the future, I will avoid BigTree's products. This is disappointing because I was just about to purchase a SKR Pico for my other printer. But throwing away another $55 for a product that has no warranty isn't going to happen. DO NOT BUY THIS BOARD!!!!
