I recommend this ADF 3 mm x 10 mm shredder
PROS:* 3 mm x 10 mm pieces *almost* meet the P-5 security level (P-5 cannot be more than 30 mm squared [check], but no more than 2 mm wide [no check]), practically sufficient per HIPAA and other security standards (good for lawyers, doctors, financial documents)* Designed for 8 1/2 inch by 11 inch (or longer) paper, and feeds the 8 1/2 inch side via ADF or manual feed opening, so it cuts vertically rather than horizontally, ensuring that names or account numbers are just 3 mm wide* Relatively quiet (you can make it quieter by stacking to-be-shredded documents over the manual feed opening)* ADF works well, BUT ONLY ONE PAGE AT A TIME (it seems they could have designed it to stagger the pages so that, after the first begins, it would pull in another after 2 or 3 or or 5 inches, corresponding to roughly 5 1/2 or 3 2/3 or 2 1/5 pages at a time)CONS:* One page at a time ADF (but manual feed can take up to 10 pages at a time)* Shred bin fills up QUICKLY, after just a few hundred pages (get boxes of 50 gallon trash bags at Costco--you'll be filling up bags a lot if you have bankers' boxes of documents* Royal Sovereign went out of business a few years ago, so don't expect any support (purchase with a credit card that tacks on an extra year to the 3 and 1 year warranties [compare VISA v. MasterCard extension of warranty limitations])* I bought in late October 2024 for around $95, a good price for 3 mm x 10 mm shredding* Says it won't shred CDs (I don't want to risk it)OTHER INFO:* I had a Fellowes shredder (much bigger shred pieces) that broke, and they were HORRENDOUS at customer service. After hours of rudeness and incompetence by the customer "disservice" phone personnel and refusal of someone higher-up to get back to me, I vowed to never buy anything from them again (and I recommend you buy nothing else from them, too)* Same thing from Aurora, when I called repeatedly to ask them questions about some of their products, so I chose to avoid them, too, and recommend you do likewise* I recommend buying a bottle of shredder oil (around $6 for a 12 ounce bottle) and coat the blades by lifting the silver plastic guard, then running in reverse for 10 seconds, and likely you'll have worry-free shredding for years to come* Don't run staples, paperclips, or adhesive label sheets through the shredder to prevent problems (perhaps you can, but why ask for trouble?)

An excellent shredder.
I'm not certain why the original shredder that was sent collapsed and self destructed. But I am glad I asked for a replacement instead of buying a different brand. The 1st thing I tested was to pull out the drawer the shredder did not collapse. Thank you for replacing itI am still impressed with how this machine can shred so much. Very good shredder.

I LOVE this shredder
This is so much better than previous shredders I have had. I just love it. First off, it shreds things into little tiny (in fact pretty) flakes of paper, not strips, which feels more secure to me (even though shreds are likely enough, it just feels better). Second, it has a big fat feeder which lets you put a whole pile in and it does the individual feeding and shredding for you instead you standing there putting in just a few at a time (just don't put in folded documents as that seems to jam it). Third, you can even put stapled items in the feeder and it pulls down each sheet and just before it hits the feeder it gets pulled from its staple. Beyond that being really convenient, it is mesmerizing to watch it pull down the sheet, then at the bottom tug it off its staple and feed it in. This is a great shredder.

DOES NOT FUNCTION.
Power would blink right out of the box. Called the company and they said to take video and pictures to send which I did. I cleaned and emptied and reset bin many times. Got it working for a little while then did the same thing. When the green power light blinks it won't shred. I called their customer service many times as note in box says to so and they keep telling me their line doesn't work and to call back. Well I tried on and off for a month. This is FRAUD to sell a non-working item to someone. I will talk to my credit card company but Amazon should not be selling the product. I want a refund.

Great shredder
This shredder allows me to shred a few at a time or set a bunch in the tray and automatically feeds the papers through the shredder.

Does the job
It does the job for a small firm. It's a little louder than our previous one, but still, it does the job.

This thing is a beast but i oil it and have the warranty.
I took the drawer out and mounted it on a 30-gallon trash can and this little beast shreds all day. It does overheat but it keeps moving and micro shredding. Good luck scammers diving into my dumpster. It has been doing great with no problem, even though it's just a month. Oil it, keep it cool and you could save a few grand on a shredder. Buy the warranty if you shred a lot as a word of advice. It has been way better than the last one I used for 10 years. Sorry, I need security but a few grand on a shredder is just not in my budget. I will update when it goes belly up, but for now, it has been a workhorse. Keep them oiled and cool and they will last years.

Generally works as described.
I bought this shredder to replace an older model. The auto feed feature was the main selling point for my purchase. The auto feed works most of the time. There have been several times that I have had to "assist" the feeding of a stack of paper. I'm satisfied with the shredder but it could work better.
