Crawls better than advertized.
If you are looking for a rock crawler that can crawl this is it. It is NOT a rock bouncer, rock racer, rock buggy or anything else but a crawler. The suspension set up allows for scale articulation, nothing radical, but more than sufficient. Rock crawling on scale appropriate rocks and climbing is a breeze. It has capabilities for 2S and 3S batteries but I think I prefer 2S. 2S delivers plenty of power for steering, crawling and climbing with plenty of "punch" for getting over steep inclines. Smooth and controlled starts with no hesitation. If you are in the market for a rock crawler I would definitely recommend checking out the impressive tech specs, buying and saving some money over the big-name brands .

Redcat value is hard to beat!!
I have an Ascent 19, an Everest 10 and now the 1/8 Marksman. Out of the box these are as good or better than some of my friends more expensive RC trucks. The bodies are lexan and not branded, but they really perform well.

Great Crawler, Steering Servo Hit and Miss
Great crawler overall. I love its size. Motor is very powerful. Nice ground clearance. Tires are good. Seems to be able to crawl over almost anything. Very well constructed. Seems very solid. Maybe it's not a pure crawler, but it does just fine for what I want to use it for. I bought this for my kids, but I'm having a blast making obstacle courses in our back yard and seeing what I can maneuver. Unless you're hardcore about crawling, there's really nothing to upgrade on this other than maybe the steering servo.The first day we used it the steering servo blew the circuit board. The Hexfly servos have good reviews here on Amazon, so people like them. Maybe I just got a dud. Redcat customer service is top notch. I submitted a warranty claim for the servo and the next day I got a shipping notice that a new servo was coming. Companies that stand behind their products like that get my repeat business. I might pick up another Marksman or a Gen 9.Keep up the great work Redcat!

Great Truck for Rock Climbing
The media could not be loaded. I have had other rc trucks but never a rock crawler. I set up a little climb with some wood and rocks that had about a 1.5-2 foot elevation change and now I'm hooked. I am still learning how to use the truck but pretty cool truck right out of the box. Thanks!!
