I brought this for my hamsters sand bath, great!

I used this sand - and some pebbles I also bought via Amazon- to help solve a problem I had with some plants, that my mother had so kindly been looking after, returned to me FULL OF BUGS ... after extensive research (*google & social media whinging) I learnt that they, the bugs, are possibly caused by over-watering and this solution of sand+pebbles should help...and you know what...It did! It worked!!., Yey 🌱

Potentially led to the death of my hamster.The day after putting this in her cage, her bedding was full of blood - this was the only new thing that had been used in the four months of having her. She went on antibiotics for whatever it was (they were unsure, as it had rapidly developed), then developed wet tail a week later and died. She was only five months old. I can’t 100% say it was this, but it was the only change in her cage or life style in an otherwise healthy, facilitative life, where her bedding was high quality and changed regularly and she was happy.

Beautiful fine and soft sand our Syrian Hamster loves it, baths in it all the time, perfectly safe for a hammie.

I used this sand on top of the soil of a plant which had been over watered and was suffering with a fly problem. I left the sand on top of the soil and ceased watering for as long as possible. The fly issue did not reappear.
