Stable Burners With Good Performance
This is a fairly popular burner choice amongst home brewers and that also was my purpose with it. For me, I integrated these burners into a custom built stand, just simply didn't want the hassle of creating an integrated burner. I was looking for an option that if some day I wanted to do integrated burners I can, and this fits the bill...the burners can be removed from the rest of the burner assembly. I have two of them that I use, one for my hot liquor tank and the other for my boil. I've built a custom propane pipe to distribute propane to both burners with unique flow controls for each burner and can run both just fine on a single regulator.Overall, I haven't noticed the issues that others mentioned about performance. I'm able to easily get a 12-13 gallon batch boiling in no time, hardly takes much time at all. I do have to keep things turned up a bit to get there, but it's not really that much of an impact as I do expect to use some fuel to get that much liquid to boiling temps. I find the stability of the burners supreme using a 15 gallon keg as my kettle, never has there been a concern about it's ability to securely hold my equipment. Performance with some winds about does get a little challenging, but nothing a quick rip of aluminum foil can't fix...but winds can challenge any burner out there. Conductivity of heat hasn't been a big problem, I set these on a wooden stand and haven't had any issues with burns or marks on the wood. I really have come to like these and they've performed admirably for well over a couple years across several dozen batches. When you first turn these things on, expect the paint to burn off. It's a bit unpleasant, but overall, goes fairly quick and never needs done again. Other than that, not much to it...fire it up and go.

Very well built cooker
This is a great burner for homebrewing beer. I used a jet burner at first, and this one is very quiet compared to the loud jet burner. It also is very sturdy. The documentation says it can carry up to 162 quarts (40 1/2 gallons!). I have a 20 gallon brew pot and this works just fine for me. It will bring 15 gallons of 50 degree tap water up to a boil in about 20 minutes. I don't use it that way too often - I'm usually heating warm wort coming from my mash tun, so it heats even faster. I plan on purchasing another one for making larger batches.10/4/2014 - Update: I successfully heated 40 gallons of water from 80F to 220F in 78 minutes, and I can do it faster than that now that I know what I am doing. I turned up the heat three times during the boil. I used a 45 gallon brew kettle containing 40 gallons of water and the KAB6 performed flawlessly. I just purchased a second burner for my hot liquor tank.

Can't go wrong with a bayou classic
This is my second one of these exact cookers. I used the other one for years. It's very nice to see a company stand by their product and continue to use high quality materials. Very simple machine but also a very good cooking rig. I highly recommend one of these for everyone!

Sturdy and powerful
This thing is built like a tank. Very sturdy. I only have a 44qt pot and it's getting me hot water in about 15 minutes. We use it when camping. Great for hot water for showers and dishes. We will also be using it for its intended purpose of a shrimp boil soon. I have absolute confidence that it will work splendidly. Not a lot more than a lower model, but I love the burner on this that it evenly applies the heat and is very controllable. Make sure to get the oxygen mix right or you'll get tons of soot, and it'll increase your flame temp when you get it right.

An Excellent and Powerful Cooker
I wanted a solid built burner to fry turkeys and this is my second KAB6 cooker. I lost the first one during a move to another state. Now, according to the instruction manual deep inside the box and in a box, the manufacturer indicates this unit should not be used to fry turkeys. However, nowhere on the outside of the box that I have, or in the description on Amazon did it say that. In fact, on the box lid (covered until you open) it tells you to use a thermometer and not to cover the pot when frying. Excellent advice! However, very contradictory to the instruction manual inside the box, but I have used it for 3 years to only fry turkeys.I particularly like this unit because once you place the turkey into the hot oil (with the flame turned off!), it doesn't take as long to get back to 325 degrees as other cookers. Because of this, I've also found it doesn't take as long to fry the turkey as with other cookers that sometimes require >25 minutes to get back to 325. Many experts say 3min/lbs but I've found with this cooker, you can shave that to 2.5min/lbs BUT check the internal turkey temp.Overall, I like this cooker and will continue to use it to fry turkeys under safe conditions.
