Did you ever have that “astronaut ice cream” as a kid? I recently found myself craving it—especially that airy crunch—and discovered there are a *lot* of options out there for freeze-dried ice cream.The biggest factor in my choice here was size. I wanted chocolate or strawberry—everyone has one or both. I wanted it to be egg-free (and to feel comfortable taking a calculated risk RE gluten)—egg is common in ice cream, so that knocked out some contenders. I needed to see some good reviews, and I didn’t way to pay a lot for a little.This brand was by far the best value with the best reviews and the right ingredients/flavor. Many brands are charging $7-9 for a single ounce, which is literally twice as much per ounce as this product! Ack!!The base product here appears to be Blue Bunny, which can’t actually call itself ice cream but which still hits a similar spot. In its freeze-dried form it’s light and crispy but still tastes creamy, with the expected amount of tartness imparted by the ribbon. I do enjoy regular ice cream (or, I suppose, frozen dairy dessert), but it can be kind of a pain to scoop, and right now it’s super-cold in my house. So it’s pretty nice to open a bag, shake out four or five cubes, and crunch crunch crunch.Seriously, it’s such a delightfully satisfying texture.But if you don’t like the idea of crunchy, crispy ice cream, then maybe steer clear.

I love freeze dried ice cream and used to buy tons of those old triple-flavor slices that were freeze dried. Well I can no longer find those. I can only find the ice cream sandwiches and I don't like those. I thought I would try these to get at least one of the flavors. They were PERFECT! Lots of strawberry taste and nice bite sizes. Good seal on the package. Although--once I got started no like I was needing to seal any away..... Highly recommend.

Got this as a nice treat for my birthday and it was so yummy

very tasty and fresh. Only problem is there were not enough in the pack, ate it all in one sitting. Guess the quantity is a good thing.

Not worth buying the flavors taste nasty, they need to get their flavors somewhere else or come up with some other produch flavor and there are all natural organic freezer pops out there that taste way better then skippy’s.

Taste really good but the price is too high and to pay for shipping.
