I wouldn't use it for a holiday dinner, but weekday or weekend sure enough.I remember a man from the neighborhood knocking on the door one day to ask 'are you making a turkey? I smell a turkey cooking.' I said yes. He said, "in the middle of the week?" I said yes, confused. He said, you are going through all that work to make a turkey in the middle of the week? I said what work? A turkey is the easiest thing to make. You defrost it, season it, stick it in the fridge for a few days to meld the flavors, then pop it in the oven and forget about it until it's done. Then you have turkey pot pie, turkey soup with the bones and fat, turkey sandwiches, turkey and gravey poured over mashed potatoes. He seemed amazed. I still say turkey is one of the cheapest and easiest things to make and every bit of it is used.There is no reason not to make a turkey all year round, especially if you like the taste of turkey.I had not really brined a turkey, as is done described in this package instructions before. It had a couple of steps and in truth the first time I used it, I got them backwards, but they still worked out. The third time I used it, I ended up adding more herbs and spices after I drained the brine and keeping it in the fridge an extra day. Came out really good. All in all this has become a staple in my cupboard. My family really aren't fans of turkey. Although I am always one for a bargan and usually buy two or three for the freezer after Thanksgiving or if they are giving a free one away with sizeable purchase. Which is why all the spices and herbs and letting it meld in the fridge for a few days. The actual taste of turkey to my family isn't as appealing as a chicken or a ham for the holidays. My mother never ate turkey. I would always make sure she had a honey baked ham on thanksgiving/holidays and even though she is no longer with us, I do honor her by always making sure there is one on the table during the holidays. The woman was never so happy as she was eating ham sandwiches after the holidays asking over and over you are going to bring the ham right?. Yes mom. Always.The act of brining, I find tedious and cumbersome. Quite frankly the end result is worth the effort, especially if you don't like turkey.As I said. This product is now a staple in the pantry.

This is the second time brining a turkey for the holidays and this one was a HIT. I’ve gotten so many compliments from my friends on how moist and juicy the turkey was. I brined it a day before and injected it the Turkey with Cajun butter an hour before deep frying it. The delivery was delayed but it was due to the holidays but definitely will reorder again earlier.

Turkey came out nice and moist using this kit! The seasoning blend was nice and flavorful as well and everyone loved it. The only downside is that it’s a little costly for what it is, but the convenience is hard to beat.

This is such a great kit for your money. Comes with a brine bag. My turkey is always come out brown and I don't use foil but this year I use this kit and then the butter seasoning when we went to pool the turkey leg off the turkey the bone fell out instead of coming with all the meat that's how juicy and perfect it was and melted in your mouth definitely a future Thanksgiving staple.

This is our favorite brine! Each time we use it the turkey is so tender and taste great.

I order these every year. I highly recommend them. I typically smoke my turkeys and this comes with the bag and seasoning to brine it when you are ready.
