I just Recently - Purchase 3 Wasabi BP970 Batteries / For the past 10 Years - have been Videographer - The Wasabi BP970 Batteries are the Best - Currently using them on Canon XHA1S & on the Canon XL2 - They Typically last 4.5 to 5 Hours ! I use to Use Pearstone & Canon Battery - Paying Over $100.00 / Now - I'm Sold on Wasabi - Great Value & Great Product ! Also - The people @ [...] Are the Best - Great Customer Service ! I needed a spare battery for my Canon XF 100.This is the only battery that I found affordable ¡V the Canon battery costs an arm and a leg!So, as a quality engineering person, let me review the bag in such terms:Functionality:- Excellent. Does what it is supposed to do. The Canon XF 100 has not complained about this battery yet ºUsability:- Well, it was well-understood that this battery will not have the bells and whistles of the original Canon BP-975 ¡V there will be no lights indicating how much juice is still available¡K so I won¡¦t complain about that. However, even if the battery is fully charged, the XF100 display shows it is partially charged! This is a major caveat.- It charges as expected with the original charger that came with the XF100¡K i.e., the charger will read the charge in the battery correctly and will blink as if you were charging the BP-975.Performance/Durability:- I think it is too early for me to comment on this. I promise to update the review after 1 year, after collecting data on the failures.Price:- There is simply nothing else for this price. Compared to $100 for the original canon, this is a steal!Overall, I would recommend the product ¡V but keep your eyes open for something better.

I didn't expect much at all for the price, but I wanted to give it a try since the OEM Canon batteries are around $200 for a similar MAH capacity. When I got these, I am pleasantly surprised, these easily last 4 hours on my XF 100. It doesn't show the minutes left like others say, but it isn't a big deal because the battery meter is accurate. With 4+ hour run times, just simply pop another one in and keep going. These are one of the best deals out there. I have three of these, and they continue to work flawlessly after 5 months of usage. I am extremely satisfy with these, and will probably buy some more.

Slightly larger than my Canon c100 battery, sticks out 1/2" further, but as there is no door on the C100, not a problem, I bought 2 and they both work fine. The Canon battery has a cool 4 LED display on the back, but costs $150.Weeks later...they work fine, they do not last as long as the Canon battery by far, but they are so much less expensive that I ordered two more with chargers. One arrived fine, the other DOA, just sent it back to Amazon and ordered another. Free returns, so it's a non-issue for me. If you need the absolutely longest running time, buy the Canon batteries for $150 & $250 for the larger one. For me, I don't mind swapping out a battery every two hours or so, but for some, this could be an issue. Frankly, if you need to run that long continuously, use the supplied power adapter or buy a large external laptop battery with multi-voltage and run the camera from that.Great for the price.

I purchased this battery to have a backup for use in my Canon XF100. The battery works great! As another reviewer has said, it doesn't tell me the actual time remaining (similar to the OEM battery) but that's not an issue for me. You still get a read out with a battery icon, similar to what you'd see on a cell phone.I just used this battery to shoot a wedding and reception, around 4 hrs total. I recorded over two hours of footage, and was on standby when I wasn't shooting. I also reviewed several video clips on the camera to check footage. After all this, the battery was not even down to the half way mark. Without changing the battery, I later went to my parents to record some home video (another 30-45 minutes) and it made it through that as well!Needless to say, the battery is well worth the money- significantly cheaper than the Canon version but performs great so far. I will definitely be ordering more in the future!

According to the 8500mAh power of these batteries, you should be able to get 6-8 hours of use. Wanting to test the battery on my Canon C100 I went on a half-day shoot. Luckily I had the stock battery from my C100 kit. I was really surprised that the Wasabi battery only lasted 90 minutes. Thinking it wasn't fully charged I went home and recharged and did another shoot. Same result, less than 90 minutes of use. I ended up returning and purchasing the name brand version which does last 8 hours. Use at your own risk, for me its not worth it.
