Q: I'm assuming when you're running in mono, the jack plate connects the speakers in a parallel fashion rather than series - is this correct?

4 x 16 OHM speakers - When in mono mode the two jacks are wired two different ways - One jack will be series/parallel at 16 OHM - The other jack will be wired parallel at 4 OHM -- In stereo mode both jacks are 8 OHM each.

Q: Is the wiring as simple as connecting the positive and negative wires from the speakers to the four connecting clip/things? (2x12 cab, 8ohm speakers)

To the person that says yes: A: Absolutely not. Two (2) connected 16 ohm speakers can ONLY be either 8 or 32. This Jack plate is designed for (4) 16 ohm speakers

Hi Joe I bought this Jack to replace one that was identical to it in a stereo marshal 4x12 cab. It’s wired so that when used in stereo each side is eight ohms and when used in mono the entire cab is 16 ohms. Your Omage will of course depend on that of your speakers. It works flawlessly fir me. Hope this helps
