Make sure the smaller piece is installed ridge side up
I realize now the ridge that is on both sides of the smaller piece that is put in first must be placed, ridge side up to reduce the majority of friction between the two parts. I installed it this way because the pictures show it installed that way. That may be a part of the problem some people are having, as it easily will fit either way.Again, any grease that is not synthetic will have petroleum distillates that will break down this type of plastic. I have been shifting away for a bit now and I really am pleased with this product.I really hope this helps everyone have the same great experience as I am with their shifters!The images from the manufacturer showing it installed were extremely helpful! Looking at them carefully made the difference between a great experience vs. complete disappointment.So glad I just took the chance with this! The magnetic device option isn’t really something I personally would consider given it’s aesthetic. Where as this does not change the shifters appearance.

Lasted 8 days.
The media could not be loaded. Lasted 8 days. I silicone the corners down and used dielectric grease. Still broke. Maybe I'll use a few nylon rubber bands to hold the tension on it.

Definitely helps with feel, but cheap materials. Had to epoxy it back together after it broke
Didnt come with instructions, which is fine because I figured it out pretty easily, but the piece of plastic is flimsy, as its supposed to be since its only supposed to provide a bit of resistance in the shifting. Definitely helps with feel, but youre better off getting a better shifter all together

These layouts were super easy to install and they help with shifting gears. I have found no negative impact from using them so I say get them.

Poor material
It seems like a good idea and it worked great the first couple days, but the smaller piece is what broke on me. I took the advice of other reviews and used some dielectric grease and it still broke. If you know someone with a 3D printer maybe see if they can make it out of stronger materials. I will say for the first couple of days before it broke it made the feel of the shifter so much better, so I’ll give it that.
