Great valve for odd use
I live off grid in a school bus. No matter what I did I couldn't keep the pipes from my outside water tank to the bus from freezing. Then I came up with an idea. I put a T in the line. And attached this valve to it. Put it on a zwave relay and made a smart home automation to open it when the outside temp stays below freezing for a while, and closes it when the water pump turns on. When the valve opens it allows air in and gravity pulls the water back into the tank. Empty pipes can't freeze. Works great!

Just works
Installed this as a replacement valve for my waterfall/stream and it has worked well for several months. Much higher flow than other “normally open” valves I have tried

4 failures!
I bought two at 1/2" and two at 3/4". All of them failed after cycling only a few times. All of them failed in the closed position leading to system damage. They were all normally open valves.The power specs as advertised are 9-36V, AC/DC, the voltage at the connection tests at 27VAC, well within the advertised range.

Works great
Exactly as described, works great to put in a shut off under the house insulate it we'll put the power some ware easy to access and in an emergency you can shut down the house to stop a broken pipe leaking at the flip of a switch.

Excellant Valve
I connected it with an older 12 vac adapter and to an alexa switch, to control the water to my swamp cooler.

Unreliable - remains stuck on closed
Remains stuck on closed, you need to cycle power a few times in order to open it.

Works well but...
If your water is hard and you let it dry up, it may jam. Nothing broke, though. I lubed with silicone grease. No problem now.
