I quite like this. It's a very dramatic design, fits quite well, cinches my waist as opposed to everything but my waist as some other corsets seem to (no, I don't need my ribs compressed, thankyouverymuch), and the extra laced bits over the hips let it really flair out there so I just easily fit with everything smoothed out into elegant curves, as opposed to having all my paunch slide of the bottom in a horrible roll due to being overly compressed. I was a little worried that those extra slits might just be places for my paunch to roll out, but this hasn't been the case (and if you need to, it's pretty trivial to just shut them). And while it's not visible in the style, there is also boning in the middle section, so no, you're not going to break out into rolls there even if you do have excess paunch. Probably.That being said, there are a few issues:* It's not exactly the easiest to get on. Unlike some corsets where you tighten the laces once and then leave them and use the clips to pry it on at size every time after, this pretty much requires the laces to be loosened in order to get it on at all. The clips, being big and dramatic the way they are, are much more prone than smaller ones to wind up angled the wrong direction while trying to put them on, and they can only be fastened if they're straight. The chains, too, are easy to break while doing this if you're not careful, so you really don't want to be fighting it.* The clips can come open if you're not careful. Make sure none of the others have come loose once you get it on, and check it from time to time (especially if it feels weird), and you should be fine. It is higher maintenance than some, though.* The chains and back laces were not put on in the optimal fashion. The chains are mostly just a stylistic gripe as they'd look a bit better if the larger drape wasn't crossing the smaller one in it, but the laces work much better when they can be tightened in the middle, not the end. This is a trait of a lot of corsets, but especially with this one, which allows for such a dramatic waistline, and with the added hip laces, keeping the back lace ends at the bottom also puts the back laces at odds with any adjustments you may make to the hip ones. So I do recommend relacing it to suit your usage.* The clips are a bit further apart than they probably should be. Three works at my size, but only barely. This really would do better with four per side in order to be close enough together to not strain the material/boning between them. I could definitely see them failing to hold up at larger sizes, but do note that this is pure conjecture on my part.All that aside, I kind of love this.

I had my eye on this corset for a while and finally caved. The corset came in a timely manner and looks JUST like the image! I ordered an XL due to the European sizing & it fits well (I'm 4'11" & usually wear size Medium clothing here in the US). I used it as a piece of a fun Steampunk outfit I put together just before a local convention, and got so many compliments on it! The chains are real and the up close detail is stunning. The fabric is heavy and good quality. The clasps can all be undone, so all you have to do is open and close it from the front after adjusting the straps in the back to your size the first time. The adjustments at the hips are also super helpful for getting a great custom fit. The only thing: one of the clasps on the top kept coming undone at different points throughout the day, and some of the others would start coming a bit undone as well. So every now and then throughout use, just run your hands over the clasps and make sure to check them all for proper closure and you're good to go. I knew of this issue before I ordered, and saw that several other people had mentioned the same thing, so I knew what to expect. I think the clasps aren't exactly TOP quality, but they work well enough to get the job done. But for the price, this piece is a overall a steal, and I now have it to use for fun costuming occasions!

Love this so much! My #'s for reference: 5'11, 155lbs, medium frame, and I bought a large. The panel on the back was let out all the way, and I was concerned that it wouldn't fit. I should have gone with the XL, but I rocked it. Also, I did buy little plastic rubber bands as suggested b/c the clasps do pop open, hence 4 stars. Can't wait to wear again in a couple of weekends!!

I bought this for my first ren faire and it fit perfectly! I absolutely loved how it felt and looked. I was worried about it being too small but if you measure yourself and pick your size based on the sizing chart then you shouldn't have any problems.

A stunning corset.I'm so surprised how inexpensive it was. I was actually a little trepidatious when I bought it because of the price and the lack of pictures showing a model actually wearing it. I was worried it would be more like a costume corset. However, as soon as I tried it on, my worries dissolved. It has solid construction with spiral steel bones (I checked with a magnet -- yes, they're steel), it feels like a second skin, and it looks absolutely fantastic.With a little trial and error, I discovered it's slightly easier to put on using the clasps on the left (from my perspective while putting it on), because the flaps of fabric that prevent gaps from showing in the front are attached to the corset sides, not the front panel, and the clasps on both sides face the same direction. On the left side it works well, but on the right side it probably would have been better if that flap was attached to the front panel, but then the construction wouldn't be symmetrical. (Don't worry if that doesn't make sense. You'll discover it for yourself when you try the corset on.)Anyway, it's a beautiful corset. It looks gorgeous on, and it's very comfortable.

Loved the heavy quality feel of this corset. Great for Halloween or Cosplay/Fairs but it does run small. I purchase the XXL and it barely fit with the strings being and small and they can go. I’m a (smaller) -American adult- size 12 with C bust. The hinges are not just for show they actually clasp but do not stay put, possibly due to the corset being on the brink of too small (largest size they offered).
