Summit SUP-084 Premium Steel Multi-Fit Roof Bars, Lockable, Set of 2

These fit the 2021 Renault Clio perfectly, after shopping about for other brands - which are massively more expensive - These are excellent roof bars for the price, slightly rounded edges rather than square. Super sturdy and well designed and do the job.Once measured and put together its just a case of 4 screws - one for each clamp - to fit them.

Roof bars for my B8 passat with a naked roof.This worked however I did need to adjust to close the doors to pick up a top box.After further investigation I noticed.....The plate that hooks inside the door opening is covered in a plastic coating. So I used a sharp blade to remove it off the pin.The pin hole on the car door frame was only pressed to show the indent at the factory. So not a full hole for the pin to slide in to allow the plate to sit flush. I got the correct drill bit and tested on a piece of wood and made sure the pin on the plate just filled. Then I gently drilled out the holes as you just don't know what could be in the frame. Then tested the roof rack and it fitted perfectly. Finally I removed the roof bars and used my paint touch up stick inside the holes to protect the raw metal.I would expect the same issues with any roof bars of this type and I will by a car with a roof rail next time as my last car had them and the roof bars were so easy to fit.Good roof bars for the price and a little tweeking required with pins and hole in car frame but you would need to do with any brands on a naked roof.
