If your Samsung washer tub frequently begins rocking/wobbling/tilting/knocking as it spins up to high speed either during spin at beginning of rinse cycle (removes wash water) or spin cycle (removes rinse water), or both, causing the machine to stop and either repeat the rinse cycle (apparently the machine’s pre-programmed attempt to rebalance the load), or display the “dc” (unbalanced load) code, requiring manual redistribution of the wash load to rebalance the load, replacing the four suspension rods/spring assemblies should solve your problem, as it did perfectly for our 9+ year old washer. Now, even if a large, heavy load is somewhat unbalanced, as noted by the tub’s oscillating lateral motion at the beginning of a spin cycle, the tub no longer tilts or rocks; we’ve experienced no rinse or spin cycle stoppages or “dc” codes since replacing the rods, a relatively simple 20-30 minute job with simple tools. When replacing the rear suspension rods, having an assistant is strongly recommended to shine a flashlight onto base of each rod to guide the required maneuver as it’s removed, and to “spot” to prevent accidentally causing the propped open machine top to fall. Any of the several available YouTube videos on this repair should be viewed before attempting it, unless you’re experienced or skilled in this sort of thing. Also, be certain to check the chart for model compatibility. If you’re not certain your machine needs this repair, perform a simple test: with your machine powered off and UNPLUGGED, open the lid; using thumb pressure, push down firmly on the top of your washer’s tub housing (the top of the part inside the machine that rotates back and forth during the wash cycle and moves or rocks as it spins up during the spin cycle) in each corner of the machine. If you can easily depress and tilt the tub significantly at the machine’s corners (where the suspension rods are attached), your suspension springs are “shot”, much like old worn out shock absorbers, struts, or coil springs on an old car. Once you replace the four suspension rod/spring assemblies, you’ll be able to see how much more firm the tub feels when you perform the same “tilt” test; you should barely be able to depress or tilt the tub at all with thumb pressure. If your tub seems quite firm before any repair, the suspension springs most likely are not your problem.Otherwise, you should be quite pleased with the result of this repair; this product is of high quality, easy to install, and corrects the problem perfectly.

Why did I wait so long to buy new springs , it’s like we have a new washer again.I was skeptical if they would work ?They worked like a charm , I had tried the hose around spring trick , many times , just to have the DC error return , as the hose doesn’t stay in place .If your getting the DC error , because machine shakes too much at spin cycle , 7 min mark for us !Just buy these rods , well worth the money , very good construction.

Saved a few dollars off the OEM price for these suspension rods. We had a Samsung Top Loader washer that was suddenly going off balance with every load. Redistributing the load wasn't working and we were at the point were we couldn't complete the cycle. Our choice was to pay a couple hundred dollars for a Service call or spend less than $50 to fix it ourselves. Youtube videos will walk you through the process. I recommend taking lots of photos and putting screws in separate containers with labels as there are A LOT of screws that you have to remove. These rods are a good replacement for the manufacturer rods. Our original rods lasted 3 years. So far, we are 4 months in on these replacements and everything is working as expected. I even washed all the comforters after the holidays and there were no UB errors. Success! You may need two people when you replace the rods, as once you get the rod fitted into the bottom slot you will have to lift up the tub/drum to set the top part of the rod. it's easier if someone helps lift the tub/drum while you set the rod.
