Easy peasy
I’m 75 years old and putting away my old steel umbrella stand for the winter was a chore, extremely heavy. This stand is just what I needed, set it in place fill it with water and you’re ready to go. When it’s time to put it away just dump the water.

Fantastic
These umbrella stands are amazing. They are light and easy to move when empty but then nicely heavy when filled with water and then easy to empty at the end of the season so you can store them until next summer. Between our two houses we have bought 8 of them and love them. And even if we eventually need to replace them the price point for 3 or 4 years (and counting) of use make them even more of a great deal.

Umbrella base
The base is fine but the opening to put water in is a bit small. I filled it with sand and water for my 7ft umbrella. Seems sturdy enough. I don't think it could hold an umbrella bigger than 7ft across.
