Oakley Light Assault 2 Boot Coyote

Lightweight and form fitting
These boots are super lightweight! I've had some other commercial style boots and these are the lightest by far. The soles have held up really well; I'm constantly on the go. I have done a few rucks in them and had no issues. The do hug my feet really well, I'm a size 11.5 in issue boots, 12-12.5 in sneakers, and I got these in a 12.It does take some extra effort to loosen the laces across the top of the foot when putting them back on, they are really good at holding their position. My had my last pair of Oakley boots back in 2004-2006 and these are much better.I also found these on sale, which made buying them a no-brainer!

Comfy, Super Light Weight!
Super light weight! Like having a pair of sneakers on! They also look so good! The insoles were average like most other boots, so I bought nicer inserts.Awesome garrison/work boot. If you’re going to be doing field ops and lots of work under heavy weight, i would get something sturdier with more ankle support. However, its great to have 2 boots, and this is now one of mine!

Very High Performance-to-Weight Ratio
About to buy my third pair of these. They are by far the best *lightweight* boots I have found in 13 years of wearing different boots for the Army, and I definitely think they are better than any heavyweight boot I've owned, though that is personal preference. If you prefer lightweight boots, look no further. The outsoles provide some moderate flex (like a running shoe) which makes them very comfortable to run and move quickly in. This does make the outsoles a bit soft (which causes them to be less durable) but the upper construction is second to none. My approximately 4 year old pair which has seen heavy field use still has no frayed or broken stitching or worn leather. The boots themselves still look fine, though the outsole eventually wore through, making them unserviceable, which is why I'm replacing them. They are breathable and and dry quickly. I can't speak to their performance in cold temps however - they might be a bit cold for winter field use in cold regions.Other small problems: I recommend replacing the insoles, which are probably the weakest feature of the boot, but it's generally a good idea to chuck the insoles that come with boots to get an insole that fits your foot anyway. The laces tend to slip out of my boot somewhat frequently but eh, not a big deal.

Solid Boot
I got these because they are much lighter than the standard issued boots. They are durable and very comfortable. They just lack a bit of support, but that is the trade off to make them lighter in my mind.

No break in required. Like wearing moccasins.
This is the best pair of boots I have ever owned. Spent 29 years in law enforcement. I’ve worn every kind of boots and these beat them all hands down. The key is knowing your true foot size. Both feet! Boots have to meet military standards, requirements and specifications. If unsure of foot size watch videos on you tube on how to get sizes at home. Try a pair for yourself.

Very comfortable / Comply IAW 670-1 (US Army Regulation)
In my 30 years of service in the US Army these are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. Very lightweight. IAW AR 670-1 (Army Regulation). Highly recommended.
