Battery does not give range advertised. Ok but not worth anything more than 200
So I bought two of these scooters the beginning of June 2024. 1 I got to charge pretty easy by spinning the rear wheel and then letting the charger sit there blinking red and green for a while and then it turned solid red after an hour or so. The second scooter I could not get to charge and the charger would be green and then I got it to turn to blinking green and red. Finally after a day of the charger blinking green /red it turned red and charged, but but it gave an error code when turned on E2 which means the throttle is messed up. I tested it with the throttle from the first scooter and with that throttle it was not throwing the code.I contacted Hover and they told me to return it. Amazon would only give me a refund and not an exchange I presume because They raised the price from the two ... hundred and .. fourteen dollars that was my cost. I opened a new ticket with hover one about the throttle but and they never responded. So 0 stars for them.Bought and replaced the throttle myself and 2nd scooter then worked fine. Both scooters are quick. 18-21 mph on the flat. The range on the batteries is far below the 18 miles they advertise on both scooters. I got 12 Miles max before it went into limp mode and did 4 mph and that was in eco mode (12 mph max) and a fare amount of kicking to extend the range. Safe to say flat out lie on the battery range estimate given by Hover 1. I am about 190lbs.So for 215 with tax these are ok but not anymore than that and don't expect any service from Hover 1

Cool looking but deeply flawed scooter
I own 2 Hiboy KS4 Pro scooters and bought this cheaper one for my teenage son.I took a chance on it despite the many negative reviews, because it shipped before Xmas.I didn't really mind the charging glitch where you have to spin the back wheel to start charging it.I completely charged it before taking it out the first time. The battery indicator showed 5 bars (full charge) but then jumped to 2 bars after 5 minutes but then went back up to 5 bars after a couple minutes, so it was a little concerning trying to trust the battery indicator. Other than that, first day out was great: had fast acceleration, cool blue lights (sides and X-logo on platform lit up), and battery lasted the same as my 2 KS4s.Charged it up and took it out the next day and after 30 seconds it slowed to 5mph, so I stopped, turned it off, turned it on again and it went full speed for 30 seconds then back to 5mph. Despite attempts to reset it to factory, looking online for tips, and trying a few other things, it never worked again. This scooter has a cool design, but its mechanics and software are garbage. I'm returning it and getting another Hiboy.

Don't be discouraged if it won't turn on.....
For those the view that got the May deal, and everyone else who bought it recently and read the reviews... they are true. However, if you leave it plugged in for a couple days and you are patient, then try to turn it on pressing and holding the button, and then pressing for shorter time and then trying it again, rolling it around it will eventually kick on. The problem is the batteries are in such a deep state of discharge (they must have been in the warehouse too long), the charger doesn't recognize that it's actually attached which is why the charger stays green. Eventually, it will work just give it time and if it still doesn't then send it back.

Terrible customer service
After a year of purchase, finallyWas able to put it on the road for my 11 year old son. Didn’t know I had to rotate back tire to get the scooter to turn on. Anyhow, a couple of months of riding, the handle to scooter completely snapped in half and my son got hurt pretty bad. I’ve been trying to contact hover-1 for about a month now and I can’t get through to no one. Great product, terrible build.

2 Replacements and over 600$ loss
I ordered a scooter and paid for it as new and received a used scratched up and deffective one. So I contacted Amazon and they told me I have to return the other one within a month but they were going to send me another one. I received the second one and had to miss work so I can receive it once I open it plug it to charge the same error , green light and not recognizing the batteries. The scooters do not turn on at all.I have lost the day of work (180$) , I have to pay for transportation to take these two huge boxes to a UPS ($60) , and paid $380... Totalling $620.And guess what Amazon told me... That they couldn't do anything about it. Even though I make purchases at least two times a week from them.I didn't notice the reviews but now I see that even though people are receiving defective products they will still sell them to try and take the chance to make some money.I asked to speak to a supervisor and I was told that there was none available.

Don't buy this product
Ok, so I ordered this thing brand new, set it up fresh out the box and it just didn't turn on. I tried charging it for hours, days, same result. I contacted support, they said I should contact Amazon. I took to shops around town, nobody knew how to fix it. I was going to return it and right the ugliest review, then one day my cousin tells me he had a dream where he just miraculously turned on my scooter. I didn't think his dream was fake, but everything I was trying failed. After like 3 weeks, he comes into my room, presses the button, and BOOM, it turns on. Maybe God was telling me to be patient, I honestly don't know. But this scooter wanted to play dead for 3 weeks and then just turn on one day. Interesting product, but it rides really well when it works. Update: A few months have passed and now this scooter turns off every two minutes. So frustrated with this experience.
