New Wave EnviroAlkaline Water Filter Pitcher – Removes Contaminants & Bacteria

Really like filtered water but often leaks when filling especially if top isn’t placed exactly right. Filters are a little expensive when filled it’s heavy but results is worth its weight

First, let me say this product produces great tasting water. I've been using New Wave Enviro filters for years and have always been very satisfied with them. However, I've been very disappointed with the quality of this pitcher. It is cheaply made and the description of what is filtered is misleading.The insert that contains the filter slides too far down into the pitcher, making it virtually impossible for the lid to stay on. As a result, the lid randomly falls off. In addition, this is what the description states-"New Wave Enviro's filtration family ensures you are drinking fresh, natural, contaminant and chlorine free, filtered alkaline water." However, the water from this filter is not, in fact, chlorine free. It only filters out some of the chlorine. This fact is stated in another location, so if you miss it you might think you are drinking chlorine free water. This is very misleading and should be corrected.Because I've been a loyal New Wave Enviro customer, it pains me to say I could not recommend this product. I could probably overlook the misleading description, but the quality is just not good.

First, The wood did not stay on and the piece on top that measures the freshness of the filter didn’t work.Second, rather than contact Amazon or return the item, we contacted the company directly. They sent us a new piece to measure the freshness of the filter. It didn’t work either.Third, returned everything for a full refund!!

I've had one of these for about 4 years that I purchased locally. They are impossible to clean, there's no way to get to the bottom of the pitcher, because of the non-removable insert that holds the filter, you can only soak in vinegar.It's been resigned and the lid will not snap into place like it's designed. You have to hold on to the top of the lid while pouring and it pours out the side of the lid instead of the spout. They've changed the date counter as well, it used to tell you how many days you have left on the filter and now it just says you're set up for how people are in your household-not the time left. It's a 60 day filter. The new design also dips down in the back by the handle, so it doesn't hold as much water.

I've been drinking bottled water for a few years now but then I saw a video on the acidic content of bottled water. Drinking water with a below neutral ph is unhealthy. I started to look for bottled water with a high ph balance but the pickin was slim and expensive. I bought a Brita water filter picture but the water came out with the same ph level as it went in. Then I bought a Zerowater filter picture. The same thing happened. These filters can filter out toxins but they don't change the ph level. I did a little more research when I found New Wave Enviro Alkaline Picture. I put sink water in and it came out with a perfect ph balance. I even filled it with Poland Springs water, which is the water I drank for years until I learn it's ph level. Poland Springs also came out with a perfect ph level. The top portion is a little flimsy in that the plastic is very thin but over all I like it so far.
