It comes with a split USB cable, one for data and power and the other for power only. Given my experience with similar devices, I ignored the power only connector. Big mistake. It threw up all kinds of mistakes when reading blu ray discs. Finally, I found out that the device disconnected in the middle of reading due to insufficient power.After I plugged the usb power connector into a wall charger, everything works perfectly ever since.I think it might work just fine for reading DVD but blue ray needs the extra juice. Also one can plug the power connector into another USB port but many PC/laptops have two USB ports sharing one on the motherboard like a hub. So the two ports only draw the power of one. It might not be sufficient.

Es importante que consideres que no podrás leer películas Blu-ray ya que necesitarás un software a parte y es realmente costoso. Se raya con mucha facilidad, deberás tener mucho cuidado.

I was able to burn a 23GB Blu-ray M-disc. Took about 40 minutes. Software is actually really decent to use. One point I’ll make about this thing. While burning, don’t look at this thing sideways, don’t breath wrong, and tip toe around it. Dang thing is hyper sensitive.

Arrived quickly, worked on my iMac without installing anything extra. It is a little loud when it's running but whatever idiot that shipped it to me, delivered it to my doorstep outside of a box, shipping label on the side and unsealed and open to whomever.Seriously? Amazon can't afford boxes now?

takes two USB slots which is a pain - would rather have an AC adapter and only use one USB. doesn't seem like it's built to last though... already have to unplug it and plug it in again every time i change a dvd. update - totally kakked now - won't even spin up...
