Disregard any negative reviews. This cap is the easiest product to highlight your own hair and believe me, I've tried EVERYTHING! Just read the directions, take the time to puncture holes. I did mine while watching tv and it didn't take long at all! I love the fact that I can use it over and over to highlight and lowlight. Also material is so great, doesn't rip, just leaves a perfect hole to grab the perfect amount of hair everytime I reuse.

I needed a new cap, abd wanted one with a strap to help stay in place, I was bummed because they mostly don't come pre-punched... DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. I punched all the holes ahead of time myself so I was ready the day of. I fit the cap on my head, had slight trouble with the strap, after it was positioned I started to pull the hair thru, it was honestly the most painful thing I had to go thru, my hair is straight and fine, short to medium length... so it always pulls thru seamlessly. It kept tangling, it was so hard to find the holes I ALREADY punched.... the holes we so close together that if u pulled one, it took hair from the other and knotted ur hair. It honestly was so painful I couldn't deal with it. I did like the thickness or the cap and straps seemed to stay on, but it needed some coating and Definitely to be prepunched.

This cap is thick and it is not pre-punched. It took me an hour to punch through the holes with a small screwdriver before I tried using it. Getting the crochet hook into the holes was extremely difficult, and if you could manage doing a few then the cap would come right off your head because there are no ties for under your chin. If you want to have a severe meltdown while attempting to highlight your hair, then by all means purchase one.
