La Crosse Technology BBB86088 Atomic Digital Wall Clock with Indoor & Outdoor Temperature

It lasted two years and one month but it was not at all trustworthy. I had the analog version as well and even though they both claim to automatically set themselves to "atomic" (read NIST) time, they never came close to agreeing. A third reading was always required from another clock to see which of the La Crosse ones was correct on any given day. That meant they were both pretty much useless for accurate timekeeping.

I gave it three stars because the temperature gauge doesn't work properly. I have it hanging outside my window and it's less than 10 feet away from the receiver (20 ft is maximum) yet the temperature is always off and then sometimes later in the day it'll go back to proper reading. It's sporadic. I wish it was more accurate and reliable. Indoor temperature comes out fine. Only reason I paid more for this device was so I can get an outdoor reading.

Parents love it. Day of the week included in display a nice bonus. Batteries not included. Would buy again.

The external transmitter does not cover more than 4ft, Experimented over the weekend and max 4ft. Bought this to replace a 2 year old La Crosse wall clock with similar functionality, but a total blow on the face. Trying to return back to Amazon seller. If you have an option to place the tranmitter within less 4ft away from the clock then you have a possibility to read temperature on the clock.
