Not compatible with the other gen 12 Netdot cables
I just received these after buying several packs of the regular gen 12 cables, and for me one of the biggest utilities they provide us making everything use a single, convenient cable type (so long as you use the same generation netdot cable). While they seem to be the exact same shape and connector, plugging the usb a to magnetic cable into these receivers won’t charge at even a slow speed, nor will you be able to plug the new cable into the old connectors.Essentially there are now two identical but incompatible connector types to keep track of, which I am not a fan of.

Works for CarPlay! Until you knock it off
By far the most robust system for magnetic charging that I have found through a lot of searching. Tried 3 different generations and ended up with the slightly different gen10 design. Works for CarPlay and Android Auto which is awesome but the magnets, even kept clean seem to unsnap at the slightest tug. Great premise for a MacBook but it should be stronger if possible. The cables are actually nice and thin but with a high quality braid, that isn’t the part you’ll be worried about but between losing magnetic tips and having to buy enough cables for your ecosystem, it’s a $50 minimum for a household, even if they all work perfectly. About 3 out of the 5 cables had trouble with data transmission and the magnetic tips seem to need to be oriented a certain way to transmit data, no markings though.

Good charge cables
I'm quite pleased with my purchase of these magnetic charging cables. they hold firmly but easily break away if you forget to unplug before walking off (particularly useful for my headphone charge cable) The other nice thing is they are universal. I put a USB-C addaptor in my phone and a micro USB in my bluetooth and can charge either device with the same cable/charge port.Just be aware they are not 100% maintenance free. because they are magnetic they will eventualy collect iron fileings and clog up over time. This can happen particularly fast with a phone that lives in a pocket most of the day. There's enough room in there that a little bit wont interfear with the funtion but it eventualy builds up enough that it wont connect properly and you have to clean it out. I found that a plastic toothpick works well to scrape the filings out of the inside up onto the surface where you can get at them and then repeatedly dabbing with masking tape works wonders to remove most of the iron filings. I need to do this once every couple weeks on my phone while the rest of my devices are closer to a month or two depending on where they are used.

Works great!
Really simple to use, and comfortable. Unlike other magnetic chargers, you barely notice the adapter is plugged into the phone. Magnets could be a touch stronger, but overall, it's pretty solid. Great value, too.
