One of the staples is sticking out quite a bit (dough will definitely get stuck under there) and the fit and finish of this basket isn't very good. The edges don't match up very well on the joints (see pic) and the top edge is rough. It's a kit that you can finish properly if you want with a sharp pen knife and some sandpaper, and maybe a small hammer.Edit:. I hammered in the staples, shaved off the mismatched edges, and sanded the rough parts. Now everything looks as it should. Didn't take more than 30 minutes to fix this, but still, you should not have to do any of it.

Not as good as some of the round bannetons I have purchased, and not sure how they measurements work, but slightly smaller than I expected. Also the flat bottom doesn’t enhance the sourdough. I will stick with the round bannetons unless/until I find something better in the oval format

The basket had enough splinters to be annoying to remove. And too loose in a few spots (that flour would fall right through). The linen cover had a strong chemical smell that took several wash to get it to be undetectable - don't think I'm going to risk using it. All in all rather disappointing.

Love it. Good quality. It looked smaller than I expected but was actually the perfect size for my needs - so pleased with it.
