Heavy weight film makes for a beautiful diffusion

Great for creating lighting for an artificial background indoors looking like sunlight coming in through a prop (window) and great for silhouettes.

Very Nice, It's not paper, it's like a heavy mat plastic, that can be cleaned and cut to size or kept on the roll with clamps. It is heavy with some transparency, but not a lot. I believe it cuts about two stops of light. I'm going to order the Middle weight translum and see how that works. I like it, I'm using it and will also use the Middle Weight Translum also. You can never have enough stuff in the Studio! LOL!

Can create ultra soft light and fade hard light sources. Be prepared to spend some time taming it as it wants to keep coiling up.

I might have been able to get away with the medium weight product but the heavyweight is very nice. Great for product photography. It's pretty expensive, but well worth it in my opinion.

This product is excellent for splash photography. It is durable, wipe able and reusable. Excellent to place flashes behind to create gradients or pure white depending on the effect you want to have. I have used Trans-lum for years and it is my go to background product for doing splash work.

i am a pro photographer and love this stuff. use it all the time, shoot through backgrounds, diffusion, etc. easy to use. the only thing i don't like is that it must be treated well or fold lines can show. that said... amazing uses for this.

Simply a roll of heavy (2 stop) Translum made by Savage. So far I have cut several 5 of 6 foot diffusers from it and it not a flaw in sight.
