BeaverCraft Basswood Wood Carving Block Blank Whittling Blocks Craft Beginner Kit for Unfinished Blanks Set

I normally work with scraps of Maple and Pine and Cherry because I often have it available but lots of whittlers had told me I needed to try some basswood. I was apprehensive about buying wood online and not picking the stock myself but my pack was very nicely selected.All pieces I received are blemish and inclusion free, nice tight straight grain, and very uniform. I know the finish doesn't matter too much since you will be carving these but I was also very pleasantly surprised at now nicely dimensioned and finished the blocks are which certainly makes starting a project a lot nice when it's not a raggedy rough chunk of wood.100% satisfied with what I received, especially for the price and quick shipping... I will definitely be ordering again.Update: I've now gone through this whole box and had nothing but high quality wood! I'll be buying another for sure.
