Worked after a few modifications
We just bought a 100+ year old home with a newly remodeled master bath. Since a glass shower enclosure isn't in the budget at the moment we decided to go "old school" with a rod and shower curtains. This was the most reasonably priced one I could find that was the right measurements...or so I thought. Turns out I mis-measured and the long side was too long and the sort side was too short. However, my clever and handy husband was able to cut enough off the long side and joined it to the short side with a dowel - problem solved! As you can see in the picture, the joint is not visible with the curtain hooks on it. He also said it was very sturdy and not difficult to hang at all once made his modifications. We are very pleased with this purchase, even with the modifications that were needed to make it work for us.

Adds A Nice Touch To Your Shower.
When Hubby and I moved into our condo I was really excited and the beautiful bathroom is to die for. I have always dreamed of owning the shower rod that is bowed or curved, but to my dismay Hubby said we needed a "L" shaped rod. What in the world is a "L" shaped shower rod??? I was crushed. So off to Home Depot and Lowe's to find the "L" shaped rod. The prices were out in left field and so we turned to Amazon and found it. After reading the reviews we decided to purchase the rod with the ceiling support. With our grandchildren over and while getting in and out of the tub it prevents the rod from wobbleling. .it is very sturdy and the shinning chrome makes it very pretty. I love this rod and it adds a certain charm to the bathroom. Our bathroom has chrome fixtures and towel bars in chrome and it adds a finish touch to the bathroom. According to Hubby it wasn't that difficult to install. I had no idea that a shower rod could make such a difference!

This shower curtain rod is awesome. I know some of the reviews on here ...
This shower curtain rod is awesome. I know some of the reviews on here very confusing but I think what it comes down to is intelligence. It is a cut to fit shower rod and I don't think people truly concepted that so the piece from the ceiling down comes longer so you can cut it to fit the link that you need. It was super easy to install and it is the best shower rod I have had thus far. If you're looking for high-quality this is it.

Looks great, pretty good quality
This took about an hour to install, most of that time was spent drilling holes in ceramic tiles. Four drywall anchors for each bracket, and two for the ceiling joist. I used my own, I didn't like the ones that came with it.The unit seems pretty sturdy once the ceiling support is added. Folks should be aware that the ceiling support will prevent the shower curtain from extending past that point. This isn't a deficiency it's just a matter of design, Be very careful where you decide to support it. I supported it just past the curve on the short side so that the shower curtain covered the length of the shower and a little bit of the side. I don't know if that was necessary, it may be that putting it in the middle of the curve would have sufficed. But it seems sturdy enough.Another thing to be very careful of is that unless you have very tall ceilings, it will be necessary to cut the upper support. I did 2 cuts to be safe, one a bit long and the second was after I tested the first cut and took off about another 1/4".As noted earlier, this can be pretty much cut to size. The chromed pieces fit into the brackets, making them shorter is not a difficult thing. Ours fit perfectly and didn't require any adjustment other than the ceiling support, which I'll guess almost everyone will need to cut.

Great product, outstanding price.
We originally went to a local plumbing supply store and they did not have in stock. Had to special order and the lowest price was $300. So we went shopping online, read the reviews, and ordered this product. It's very high quality with the "L" shaped corner piece joining the the straight piece with "screw-coupling". Makes for a nice, tight, high quality connection. Need two people to install properly. It's looks and works great!.

Exactly what we needed
Very sturdy and nice looking rod. We had to cut the support rod, but that was easy with a little saw. Make sure you buy some drywall anchors as this only comes with the screws, but it was easy to install and just what we needed.

Uneventful installation
Just installed this L shaped shower curtain rod today. We have a full sized tub but because our ceiling is angled we couldn't use a traditional curtain rod. This L-shpaed curtain rod is perfect! We have tile everywhere so I went to the home improvement store and picked up a wall anchor kit that included a tile drill bit. I marked the location for the bar at 76.5" off the floor and leveld across using a laser level to mark the other bracket location. I drilled the holes, caulked and inserted the anchors and then gently fastened the brackets to the walls. I cut down the shower rod to the proper lenght easily by hand with a hack saw. Because of the angled ceiling I only needed about an inch of the support rod, so I easily cut that down by hand as well. I then secured the support ring to the ceiling and screwed it all together.Very solid unit, easy to install, quality product. Can't imagine a better L-shaped shower curtain out there at any cost. Buy this unit and get on with your life, no need to compare.

Deceiving Picture
Good product and it does the job but two peoblems. 1) The picture is very deceiving. It makes the rod look black however it isn't. I wanted black. I know the description says chrome but I thought it was a mistake since the picture did not look chrome. That was my mistake yet I'd expect the picture to match the product they send. It didn't.2) The support rod was ridiculous long. (See picture) My contractor had to cut it down in order for it to fit. It worked but we shouldn't have had to do that.Over all I want to return this product but this is the last thing we are waiting on to finish our bathroom and I'm ready for this job to be complete so I'll have to live with it.
