ASG CZ Shadow 2 CO2 BB Airgun

Really fun and accurate gun. Feels just like my real Shadow 2. The family has really enjoyed shooting it. One CO2 cartridge let’s you shoot 4-5 magazines.

First time I held this pistol I was ecstatic. Nice weight ... all metal and feels great in the hand. Teardown to get to the Hop Up was easy and not difficult. Hop Up worked ... I was able to adjust elevation of round. Problem was, I was not able to get any consistency with groups. All the reviews I read stated accuracy should be 3 to 3.5 inches. Not good, but not really bad for a BB shooter. I could not get anywhere near that. Rounds would go in random directions 5 inches off center. Out of a full clip ... I might get half on a 3-inch target. My groupings edge to edge would be 7 to 10 inches at best. During one of the teardowns, I noticed the inner barrel moved quite a lot ... after each blow back, it most likely, was in a different position. This would account for the awful accuracy. Did a bit of research and found info online on how to place O ring spacers around inner barrel to eliminate this. But for this price ... this should not be an issue. I returned the pistol ... Amazon had no issues and refunded my money. I really wanted to like this pistol ... I really ... really did. Thats how much I liked the look and feel of it. But without some accuracy, I had to pass.

Mag is leaking, and leaking a lot. Had to buy valve key, silicon grease and fix according to YT video (remove air valve, clean fully both parts, relube, and tighten again). When slide is locked barrel is moving inside bringing inconsistency.

Dislike no compatible holster

For that much money, I expected better. Loading bb’s is a nightmare. Co2 cartridge leaks out no matter how careful you are installing it. You can only shoot 2 magazines of bb’s before it runs out of pressure. Only good thing is it looks and feels like the real CZ Shadow 2. Tried to return it. But they make the return costly. Biggest amount of money I have ever waisted.Lesson learned.

This is a really nice, cool air pistol of good quality... All metal design, wood grips and all. My question is why would they manufacture it SEVERELY lacking power??? I don't know if I have even seen a air pistol with less power out there??? I spent less on a aircraft grade metal, nickel colored, real wood handled Umarex 92fs pellet pistol that hammers out the pellets at 425 fps. It is incredibly high quality and manufactured in Germany. When you hold it in your hand you know you have a very serious air pistol in your hand, way better value! Heck, I just also purchased a aALL metal Colt 1911 Special Combat bb pistol that holds 18 bb's. It fires at 410 fps. It did not have wood grips, but they are still nice. I then ordered real rosewood "screaming eagle" grips for $25 at ebay and installed them. This Colt I speak of can be purchased for $99 and sports a 4.5/5 review average. Much better way to go.
