It's only just the beginning...
I was in two minds over getting this book, but after managing to get some preorders in for volumes 2 & 3 at exceptionally good prices, I figured it was only right that I go ahead and get this one just to have the complete collection. And although I've got all of these stories in other collections that I've gathered over the years - I've got the original comic series probably 6 times over now in various incarnations - but man, am I a sucker for a big hardback book.I'm a huge fan of these comics, and in all honesty a lot of the earlier Dark Horse comics (and the novels based on them) are much better then some of the more recent novels released in the last few years. There's a couple of oddities in there, and the writing of the mini series comprised of the free comics given away with the Kenner figures in the nineties doesn't flow the same way as the other 'mainstream' stories, but they all have their own unique quirks.Obviously nothing has changed art-wise: the beautiful artwork of the first and second stories, the jarring change for Earth War, the muted palette of Genocide, and of course the wonderful images of Dorman and the illustrated novella of Tribes... All in all, it's slightly smaller than the 30th anniversary hardbacks that were released a few years ago, but it won't look out of place on a shelf with the others.I love this, i'm looking forward to volume 2 & 3, and hope there'll be more and more in the coming years.

Happy teen
Such a shame one of the pages is totally blurred. Son is just over happy to have it after a wait that kept being extended and extended
