A wonderful inspiring book by Ralph Waldo Emerson.
As someone who has had a passion for more than 7 decades when it came to anything to do with mind power, when I saw this 100 page soft book on Amazon (Secrets of the mind: Ralph Waldo Emerson’s Keys to expansive mental powers b Sam Torode) for a bargain price I immediately purchased it.As soon as it arrived I began reading this amazing book and could not put it down until I finished it. What surprises me is that even though I was familiar to some degree about Ralph Waldo Emerson’s writings, I did not know about this book and his fascination with the power of the mind. This small volume has motivated me to read more of Ralph Waldo Emerson’s wise and meaningful words. This excellent small volume is organized into 5 chapters with a summary page at the end of each section. This volume covers the universal mind, principles and powers of thought, nature: the mind’s mirror, inspiration: tapping into the one mind, and wealth, work and success. There is also an appendix with Emerson’s life and influence.Even though the concepts Emerson writes about are simple and easy to understand they possess powerful messages that are universal in scope and can be applied in our so called modern society as well as early America. If you have never read anything from Emerson this book is a good place to start. I loved it.Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Martial Art and Warrior Haiku and Senryu).

We are what we think
Very good. A quibble. He quoted Karen Blixen (Isaak Dinesen) as being Dutch. She is Danish. Oops

Good food for the mind
I continue to look for books that help me produce good thought. History has its place and when you look back at the great thinkers of the past they all seem to have a positive mindset.
