Fender Ultra Noiseless Vintage Jazz Bass V (5-String) Pickups

I have a 2012 Mexican fender 5-string jazz bass. They fit perfectly and sound amazing. I did have to strip the wires which made me pretty nervous if things didn't work out, but . . . they did.The sound tech sough me out after a big performance to tell me how good my bass sounded. I've used this bass for over a year, and he noticed a big difference even though they essential look the same as my previous pickups.I bought these as the original pickups had magnets that were not flush with the surface and I was getting loud metalic noises when digging in as the strings hit some of the magnets. No more clicking now, and better sound.

These FENDER NOISELESS Jazz bass pickups are great! I have purchased several sets and upgraded other bass guitars (not all of them are Fender basses) and they fit perfectly in just about any brand Jazz bass without modification. The size is correct, the mounting holes match up perfectly. The only thing to mention is that Fender produces these with "solderless" connectors that "in theory" should be easy, but most bass guitars need to have the leads soldered to the volume pot. Even MANY Fender models do NOT have the quick connect leads. You need to cut off the ends, strip the wire slightly and solder them to the volume pot as you would do in almost all bass guitars. Really great price on a wonderful sounding noise free (no 60 cycle hum) pickups.

Upgrade my fender V Elite Jazz Bass with the Ultra noiseless pickups and it sounds amazing. Great tones and variations with the two pickups. Super happy with it. 5 star!!

I bought a used Squier Classic Vibe 70's V. I have had several of these and do not like the stock pickups. I have always replaced the stock pickups with Fender's noiseless set. I have noticed from the last set I bought that the wire leads coming from these pickups are now cheap and thin. In fact one of the hot leads was broken off when I opened the package so I had to do some soldering before the install. These pickups sound fine and make the bass sound like a Fender for sure BUT they are starting to make these a lot cheaper than in the past. Enough so that if there is a next time I will look for a different set and not buy these.

These pickups turned a garden variety Squier into a thick, fat, tone machine! It now sounds as good as, or better than, my "real" Fenders. These are a great upgrade!
