PyrexClassic Prepware Measure Jug with lid 1L, Transparent

Yes, they cost too much and yes, they always come in the wrong-for-me red, but there's something magical about Pyrex in the quality of the glass and the fact that they come with the right-size lid. You know what you're getting. You know you can whisk in it without scratching or cracking the glass, you know it will keep your batters- and in the right amounts! It's nice that some things don't change or get cheaper and flimsier with time... it's the little things that we cherish.

I wish I would have read the reviews before I purchased this. I agree with others in that the pint measurement scheme that is labeled is 10 oz per half pint and 20 oz per 1 pint, as opposed to US, 8oz and 16oz, respectively. Also, it took about 2.5 weeks to arrive, which was not disclosed at check out.

Pint measurement lines are not US pints. Lid was split, but as it was a gift, was beyond the 30 day return cutoff.

No cups measurements on this measuring cup, lid sets top but doesn’t seal and weird notch to slide between two pour options. Took forever to arrive cuz came from UK (which I didn’t realize until received) & accounts why measuring cup doesn’t measure in cups. Not the one for American recipes!

We had a 4 cup with a lid from many years ago. The lid on that one was microwavable.That old unit aged out so we thought a new measuring cup was in order. The only reason we chose this one was because it had a lid. To our dismay the lid that comes with this item is not microwavable. We have a very nice new cup but we have to use paper plates , to prevent splatter, when it's in the microvave. Disappoinnted

Lid is flimsy. Arrived broken

Hard to tell from the pictures but the lid actually doesn't create an airtight seal. There is an open air gap between the spout and lid that will not seal and is left exposed. I love Pyrex products but this one just didn't meet the mark.

Utilisé pour mettre un bouillon chaud (max 90°) Il s'est cassé net des la deuxième utilisation lors du contact avec le liquide chaud (il est pourtant indiqué que cela résiste à des températures de plus de 200°). Déçu de mon achat !

Questo brand è una garanzia, robustezza, versatilità, unica pecca il prezzo molto alto per essere solo vetro, ma gli stessi prodotti, meno costosi, si rompono quasi subito. Questo è davvero robusto, lo uso in microonde per bollire acqua per il thè o tisane, per me è promosso a pieni voti.

Acheté en mars pour 9,54€, je cherchais à la base un saladier d'une taille intermédiaire entre un grand et une taille de bol. Je suis tombée sur bol mesureur de belle capacité. Le tarif aujourd'hui affiché (15,49€) me semble un peu élevé, il faudrait donc attendre un peu que le tarif redescende, encore que pour une telle qualité, ça peut encore le faire.Au delà du tarif, le bol est arrivé intact, pas de soucis au transport, il était bien protégé. Il est de marque Pyrex, donc je n'avais pas trop de craintes, leur verre est de bonne qualité et assez épais en général.J'aime beaucoup son couvercle qui possède 3 positions, une "fermée" (mais pas hermétique), une grande ouverte et un type passoir. Pour laver quelques légumes tels des radis, c'est juste parfait. On les égoutte sans en perdre un seul et sans aller chercher une passoire en plus du contenant final. J'aime également la poignée, pratique. Je ne sais pas s'il s'agissait d'une caractéristique mais celle de mon bol est légèrement de travers. Je n'ai constaté ni un meilleur usage ni son contraire. Enfin, le bec verseur est un plus.Bref, rien à signaler, je recommande.
