Great everyday wear, tool watch. Extremely versatile - could be worn with anything from khaki shorts and sandals to jeans and a tee shirt, to business casual, to a dress-casual sport coat.Subdials are somewhat unique for a field watch, but Orient pulls it off with the Defender II. Some may question their location, or even their presence, but I think it adds a bit of style to what would otherwise be a very plain face. The bracelet is quite cheap with hollow end links and stamped clasp, but at this price, you really can't complain. Many of us will swap it out for a leather or nylon/nato strap anyway.The upgrade to hacking and winding really makes a difference vs. the original Defender. And the case diameter of 42.4 ('ish) wears smaller than it seems. If you are on the fence about this, it wears more like a 41-41.5mm IMHO. For me, it's not an issue because...8" wrist.Seriously, this one of the best values in the field watch market, and being from Orient, it's got legitimate pedigree and street cred. Highly recommend.

Great watch, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and the details of the watch. The Bracelet is ok , a little bit noisy not a real problem for me, one must consider the price. Very comfortable to wear, it's a perfect fit for my 6.5" wrist.

Good looking watch, keeps time well. Good price. I changed up the metal band and added a nato strap.

Lovely every day watch. Great starter automatic timepiece. Bracelet was a little lackluster. The dial, hands, and case finish are really nice. Paired this up with a nice leather band. Overall, feels a little cheap, but what can you expect from a sub $200 watch. Great value for what you get.

While setting the watch the crown snapped. Contacted Orient for replacement parts, new stem and crown. No replacement available. They said try in a couple of months. Boxed up watch and stored it away.
