Q: I had other rain pants that make you sweat, does this make you sweat defeating purpose of staying dry in rain?

Yes, some but not as much as a vinyl rain suit. I love it and would highly recommend it.

Q: How durable are these? Will they hold up to tree farm work?

I am a First Responder and they work for me. Only Challenge is getting the "RIGHT FIT" if you fail at doing that you are Screwed.....But I would put this SUIT up against any suit on Amazon! You can't beat it for the Price. But get the RIGHT SIZE. Un-written rule ORDER 2 SIZE BIGGER and you will be FINE..... TRUST ME.... Q: How is it for heat resistance from exhaust pipes?

This rain suit is the best and you are going to sweat in it! It is well made and I don't have the answer on whatever it is exhaust pipe? But you will be hot in this one if you ride bicycle. It is the best!

Q: I am a 5 ft tall 105 pound female. Is the size small going to be to big?

I ordered a large as I'm 5'6" and 140. It gives me room to move and enables me to were a sweater or jacket under it. I believe you will be ok.
