Deering Goodtime Openback 5-String Banjo Left Handed

Deering builds great banjos and this one is no exception. Sounds great and with geared tuners it's easy to tune and stays that way. I put on Planet Waves auto-trims just for fun and ordered an armrest and gig bag as afterthoughts but this banjo is perfect as is right out of the box. And it's a lefty to boot! If you want one for junior to learn on or as a traveler to take on trips, it's only 4 pounds and fits the bill perfectly. Highly recommended, and as a banjo player for 47 years, I think I should know!

As a first time buyer of a banjo I looked at many companies and models. After much search I went with Deering because they seemed to have a good quality product at a fair price. I was not disapointed when I receved my banjo, it was simple, beautful, and perfect for a beginer like me.

The Deering Goodtimes is a beautiful, no frills, well made banjo and one of very few moderately priced banjos that lives up to its hype. And best for mine is a lefty model, just what I needed and wanted. Setup was perfect and playability outstanding. Made in America, it’s a no brainer.

I can't believe this banjo only cost just over $200. Great workmanship. So easy to play. I'm going to have a goodtime :-) with this for sure!
