My children love this toy!
My son picked this out as a gift for my 3-year-old daughter (mainly because he wanted it for himself). It's been around our house for months and is in almost constant use. My daughter takes it everywhere she goes, including bed. My son, who is 5, loves it just as much and I wish I would have bought an extra because it's constantly being fought over.Contrary to other posts that I've read, I want to make sure that others considering this purchase are aware that the leash DOES detach. Ours is constantly being taken off and on and has held up well for months. We've managed to keep track of most of the little treats so far, mainly due to constant monitoring and rationing on my part. Like others have mentioned, it would be great if replacements were available for purchase. That being said, my daughter is quite fond of feeding her puppy our cat's food, which is luckily small enough that it goes right through without a hitch. She has occasionally "fed" it a few things like Lego pieces that got stuck, but I have been able to get them out with the help of some tweezers and screw drivers without causing permanent damage. I'm sure that at some point she'll stick something in that I won't be able to remove, but I have to give kudos to the people who designed this simple toy.I didn't really read the instructions well when we received the puppy, and just recently discovered that if batteries are added it makes lovely, realistic sounds. I think it's charming enough without the sound effects, but they have just made the puppy even more thrilling to my children.

Sure beats the real thing!
This was the toy my 6 yr old asked for Christmas- it's that age when they think it's hilarious to see pooping things. I have to say A+ for the no frills packaging. I absolutely hate having cut, rip and untwist 8000 wires and strings. Super easy assembly on this - only two pieces to put together.Of course, you know what you are getting into when you purchase it in the tiny little pieces of food that are consumable to the pup and promptly come out the other end! There is a baggy for your little pooper scooper to pick up and learn how to be a responsible pet owner :) ! I think it would be great to have another tool like a shovel or something to sweep up the pieces to put in the bag. It is now three months out and we only have 3 out of the 9 pieces of food in the baggy. The weird thing about this one was the first piece of food it consumed never came out again (that we witnessed). Whether it came out at some point down the road, not sure!Even when it's not 'eating' or 'pooping' my daughter loves walking it around and it barks and makes noises. The cat was not impressed by it but I'm sure is happy that the attention is no longer focused on her desire to 'walk' him instead. It sure beats the real puppy she asked Santa for and is allergy free! My biggest suggestion is possibly making the food larger. It's still a hit even without the food.

My niece loves it
It makes my niece happy so that’s the main thing. But wish the dog was able to walk more. The dog is soft, but hard underneath the fur.

Super Cute
My three-year-old grandson loves this little puppy. This dog chews, barks, poops and toots. It's pretty sturdy and entertaining for sure!

He’s alright, but he could be better.
I had high hopes for this little pooping doggo.. I purchased as a Christmas gift for my daughter (3 years old), who was obsessed with walking our dog and watching him pop (she’s a weirdo). Overall, she has gotten a fair amount of play and enjoyment out of the little fella, so I would *probably* purchase again.Pros: He makes cute little doggy noises, he’s has soft fur.Cons: He was much smaller than I expected (but my fault, as size is objective). He was overall much harder than I expected (other than his thin layer of fuzzy fur coat, he’s completely hard to the squeeze). He has wheels (which for some reason I thought he was more automatic than that). The leash is short (it was the perfect size for my tiny 3 year old when we bought it, but our 4 year old friend had to bend over to push it around). The treats / poo pellets are incredibly small. We lost a couple on christmas when we opened the gift.. and then a few more since. We have less than half left now (which I think is an accomplishment since we’ve had it almost a year!).My toddler and her friends have enjoyed playing with it, but they have 1) been hurt by his hard material build (just minor boo boo, but still) 2) tried to eat the teeny pellet foods (cause, why not?) and 3) shoved other objects in its mouth that they weren’t supposed to. The design concept isn’t bad, but I do wish it was slightly bigger, with slightly bigger treats, a slightly longer leash, slightly more “squeezable”... you catch my drift. And with all that in mind, I probably would have gone with a different puppers.

Very cute - big hit on Christmas
My 3 year old loves this toy and couldn’t stop playing with it for days after she got it. The noises that the puppy makes are not very loud thankfully (we were a bit concerned that it would be too loud) and doesn’t bother us when she plays with it.It is quite cute and can be taken for a walk (or roll - there’s a wheel at the bottom). The little doggie biscuits get lost easily but I guess that’s the nature of the toy. My daughter loves feeding the puppy and playing with it.It’s fluffy and soft on the outside but hard underneath.I would definitely recommend.

Daughter loves it
It’s been a great birthday gift for my daughter. We got it for her 4th birthday and it’s been one of her favorite toys. She’s 5 and half 1/2 now and still loves it. Not bad that this toy lasted for a year and half but still wish the leash was a little stronger. Leash is the only thing that broke, everything else works great.
