I LOVE these books. My 6 yo grand loves them too. BUY IT. Great for beginner readers.

Good story book

My little kindergarten grad is working on sounding out and reading short stories. He loves these books to find sight words. I like that he’s practicing his reading and learning his Bible stories. Win win!!

Bought this for Christmas for my 5 year old son. The first few times through, he struggled a little bit (some of the words are a little advanced for a 5 year old...however, sentence structure and length are perfect), but after 2-3 times through he reads it to me now at night :) That makes both of us happy. I tell him I'm proud of him, and he gives me a hug and says thanks. It's now our bedtime ritual to start with him reading. Will have to order some more from this company so we'll have more variety. Definitely a plus that it's a Bible story, too - and David and Goliath in particular is his favorite.

The entire series is a must have library addition for beginning or struggling readers. As a school principal I would recommend the book for K-1st graders. My 3 year old grandson loves this book. His mother is a teacher and he has been reading since he was two. The repeated words and phonics clues throughout are great!I also appreciated the Christian content. The Bible stories are authentic and relevant. These are great faith builders for children and adults. Another great benefit is that the material is multi-cultural. Everyone can see themselves in the bible characters. Happy Reading!!!

I found this ebook to be wonderfully written and the pictures colorful. My kids loved hearing about David and how he beat the giant. This has always been one of my favorite Bible stories and I'm glad that I bought this for my kids to read about. It was very reasonably priced and great ebook that we will read from time to time to remember how great God is. He took a shepherd boy and made him one of the greatest men in the Bible. I hope your children will enjoy it as much as mine has. God bless!

The beginning of the story in the book is abrupt, like something is missing or the pages are not in sequence. After the first 2 pages the flow of the story is smooth.

I read this with my 4 and 8 year old children at bedtime. The story, along with a few words from "Mom" to show the parallels between David to kids & the Giant to fear, bullies, monsters under the bed, etc., and both of my children were sleeping comfortably, knowing that if one small child could beat up a giant with God's help, then God would take care of them as well.The story was easy to understand, and my eight year old had no problem reading some of the story to his younger brother. A book worth a few coins!
